Used 2015 Ford Focus Consumer Reviews
Worst Transmission Ever
Honestly, there is one reason i would never buy this car again. The transmission is horrible. We have had it in three times, and had the clutch (its an automatic), replaced once. Today i am taking it in for a 4th time. All they say is "we'll test it and if its score is X we'll look into it further. If they don't fix this, i'm going to just sell it and buy a Subaru. The other thing that is horrible is the Microsoft Sync software. My wife even has a Windows phone and its horrible to sync. It's too bad, this could have been a great car, but the transmission is just THAT BAD.

DO NOT BUY
I have had nothing but trouble with my 2015 Ford Focus. The transmission is so jerky, that you can not drink coffee without it landing in your lap. If stopped behind another car and you go to take off, it hesitates and then lunges forward. Had it in the shop five times, written Ford, and all say the same, "it is within Ford's acceptable allowance". I guess it is okay to make a lousy transmission, as long as you also make lousy allowances. Ford does not care about customer satisfaction. I have been buying Fords for 45 yeas, but this will be my last.
Decent car bad transmission
I bought a 2013 used Focus and when the transmission had to be rebuilt twice, I should have run away from Ford. The dealership told me they would trade it for a 2015 and it wouldn’t have the problems. What a lie but in their defense I found out Ford actually lied to their dealers about the transmission. One of the time I took the car in, one the service writers let it slip that some of the Focuses were getting their transmissions rebuilt 5 or more times.I spend most of my driving on the expressway and the car did get amazing gas mileage and felt safe BUT the transmission had to be rebuilt at 35,000 miles and 65,000. I think it had to be rebuilt fewer times because I don’t drive in stop and go traffic that much. It was covered under extended warranty so it didn’t cost me anything. The water pump went out at 75,000 miles. When I got to 92,000 miles in 3.5 years and was feeling worried about the transmission going again, I traded it in on a Subaru.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR
The 2015 Ford Focus caught my attention through appearance. The car is horrible. The car stutters at acceleration and makes noises during gear shifts. Has left my stranded before with no warning. I wish I had known NOT to buy this car.

painful regret
after owning this car for a short time, the transmission does not shift and shutters on acceleration. After the third visit to the dealer in less than one year, the transmission is still not repaired and ford refuses to replace the transmission. we wont be buying ford cars anymore.
