Focus Fun
I purchased my focus ses 3 months ago replacing my 2001 focus. What a difference ford has made over the years. Rides well and has many good perks like heated seats, well used in PA. Handing is quite a bit better than I expected. gas mileage averages at 33 mpg's. That is driving up and down hills. Awesome ride!
Good Stuff
Bought it a few weeks ago. I am happy with it. There are a few things missing that I didn't think about when buying. The inside top of trunk is exposed (the inside, not the door). Most cars that I have driven have a foot rest for your left foot in an automatic. When the driver's door is open and the key is in the ignition, and you lock the doors using the automatic locks, they all lock then unlock shortly after (rather than just ignoring it).
A Great Reliable Vehicle, Never a Problem
Proven reliability, Never a problem. Easy to drive, set ups high for a smaller vehicle. Good Road car with minimal road noise. Secret is good tires and good struts, improve good handling to excellent handling for smaller than mid size car. Plenty of room for four and or five with youths in the rear seat. Trunk space is generous. Ford perfected the body and engine after years of redesign.

Lemon!...Electrical Troubles...
This is the 1st car I've purchased and believe me,I will never buy another Ford. The car was great for the first year, then started having electrical troubles. This only happened on cold mornings and would go away after a minute or up to 15 minutes but the radio wouldn't work, the signal light indicators in the car didn't work,no backlighting came on,the doors didn't lock automatically, the tire pressure monitor light came on,and the e-brake light stayed on after being disengaged. The dealership has been unable to diagnose or fix the problem.Already had a new instrument cluster, radio, and smart junction box installed...rental car for 45 days. In the process of getting Ford to buy the car back.
The headrests make this car impossible to drive
I borrowed my mother's 2010 Ford Focus to make a return trip from Toronto to Kingston. The headrests made the drive unbearable. They protrude so far forward that I was forced to peer over the tops of my eyeglasses for the entire drive. In the end, I had to drop the seat back to a near-lay-down position and drive for three hours sitting straight upwards with no back support. I can't imagine why the designers would make such an oversight. This car is impossible to drive for any distance!
