I own a 2008 F250 turbo diesel Ford. It is the worst truck that Ford has ever made. I am on my third motor, with only 30,000 miles. That's right 30k miles. absolute garbage motor. The 1st motor blew up at 15 K. the 2nd went at 20 K .The 3rd at 29K. I obviously don't drive this truck hard or a lot; so there is no reason for motor failures. It has so many repair items documented by Carfax that I can't sell it without a huge loss of money. Stay away from the 6.4 turbo diesel. Ford mechanics admit that it is junk(off the record of course) I finally sold it and took a 10k loss. Good riddance

I bought my F250 Super Duty V10 used 7 years ago. I’ve towed a few cars with it, on dollies, for friends. It didn’t miss a beat. I had a few bumps mechanically after I first got it. A couple coil packs, plugs and wires. Nothing I didn’t expect considering I had no idea of previous maintenance schedule (no car fax). The truck is big and cumbersome, but it gets the work done with no issues. I love the V10. The power of a diesel, without the high cost of maintenance. I don’t do a lot of long haul stuff. Local driving, occasional towing, but mostly hauling junk within a 30 mile circle. More truck than I need, but Americans like options. Meaning I like the extra umpff when I need it. The details won’t let me add the proper trim level. It’s a F250 XL SuperCab LB 4x4(6.8L V10)

Truck is of excellent quality. Quiet, comfortable, excellent interior room, guage layout. Fuel mileage of 15-16 in town and 20 on highway at 70mph with some changes I made ( fuel computer, electric waterproof bed cover, air intake. I also added an aux 50 gal tank.

I put a Bank's toaner on it to improve fuel mileage and the dealership blames everything that goes wrong on the tuner. I had to take it off. With the tuner I got 21+ mpg hwy, 18mpg in town. Without tuner 12.5 Hwy., 8.5 around town. I do not understand why ford won't offer something that can improve the mpg.

This is the most comfortable truck I have owned. It takes a hard beating daily and comes back every day. The 5.4 liter can be deceiving but the torqeshift transmission compliments it well. Can't complain for getting a $41,000 truck for $29,000. There's only one reason a manufacturer would offer a lifetime or 100,000 mile warranty, having trouble selling them. Think about that.
