Used 2021 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Consumer Reviews
Poor mpg
Among quality issues my Powerboost is getting 16 mpg. Ford doesn't care and the dealer techs simply put it as within spec. That's 8 mpg lower than it should be. Multiple reports of similar occurrences.
No seevice
Trailer Backup assist now only works with 5th wheel cable and box mounted on trailer. Alarm system issues with trailer connected. Many other little issues. Ford dealer wants me to drop it off for a few weeks for service.

My 3rd F-150
I'm on my 3rd F-150 and am extremely happy with my new 2021 pickup. Ford engineers did 'their homework' on the new 2021. I first started driving Ford 2011 with the new 3.5 Eco boast and am very satisfied with this engine. The gas mileage and residual power is perfect. The dealers do try for me to go to the next smaller Eco Boast but I renege the purchase. "If it is not broken, don't fix it." Learning the new Sync 4.0 was trying and it does take time to learn. YouTube saved my life after a couple of hours to find 'the power' Sync 4.0 has. I'm still learning and find it fascinating. My new 2021 has the 'power boost' system and simply amazing what it does. Hope it is trouble-free in the years to come. I highly recommend researching this truck for if you drive it you will buy it. Way to go Ford! I have 21,000 + miles now and still love my truck. I do wish the Hybrid battery would be a little bigger so I could drive at least 10 blocks in town instead of 4 blocks in town with just electrical power. Otherwise, I wouldn't trade for the world. Ford put their 'Better Ideas' in this truck.

PowerBoost software updating sucks
Been without the pickup for going on 3 days now waiting for techs to figure out how to download a 3MB software update. That's about 3 movies downloading from Netflix on my laptop. That would take about 15 minutes. Terrible. If this happens again, hello Tundra.
Disappointed
New 2021 F 150 crew cab 5.0, 4 WD Platinum. Transmission is constantly upshifting/downshifting, Screen is too complicated and technical, so is programming radio for favorite station...not user friendly. Truck has good ride and power with rust on rear differential. I traded in 2015 King Ranch and wished I hadn't UPDATE: 2021 Platinum, 4wd, 5 litre engine. I really wanted to like this truck but plagued with design, quality and build problems. When trans down shifted from 3rd to 2nd gear it would slam into gear...very unnerving, passenger power window faulty, screen would go blank for an hour at a time, radio pre-sets would disappear, rust on rear axle, many recalls that dealer couldn't address because of parts delays. At 11,000 miles I finally sold the mess in disgust never to ever buy another Ford. Ford needs to step up and pay attention to quality or complete lack thereof.
