Hi-Tech Ford F-150

I thoroughly considered the Ram 1500 and the Ford F-150, and I finally bought the Ford. There were several reasons for my choice, but I felt the Ford was more advanced in technology than the Ram. I have been a Chrysler advocate for many years, but I thought the Ford was more advanced in its electronics displays in the cabin, and the EcoBoost six cylinder engine is as smooth as the Hemi, but with more power and better gas mileage.

Bought new 2021 ford f150 stx supercab 2.7 eco. Put $10g down as a deposit. Shudders, surges, shakes when underload on the highway worse as you accelerate or maintain speed up hill. Been to ford dealership 5 times, as of this article it has been there 4 weeks. Yes 4 weeks, no end in sight. They have changed the valve body, throttle body, pcm computer, sparks plugs, coils to no avail And my last visit i finally got a little annoyed (no cussing, or personal insults) after i found out after 4 weeks and regional engineer had just downloaded data the day before. Then the service manager told me to take it down the road to someone else after he didn't like the tone of my voice. Ford customer service= deflect deflect deflect and that goes for the customer service line aswell - useless 7 weeks total not having use and making payments. Im really choked up about this. I work really hard for my money and I really don't need the abuse. At 19,000 kms there hasn't been 1 happy time driving it. I want out but selling dealer offered me wholesale which means after $10k down and payments for a year i stand to loose $15 + .[non-permissible content removed]!

Rethinking of getting a Ford

I bought my 2021 F150 in April. Within a week I had issues with the door number pad. From there is has been all downhill. The Key fobs started saying no key detected, it still wouldn't detect it if I put it in the backup slot, the backup camera started going in slow motion, the transmission started to not shift, the touchscreen started being really slow in responding, and now the AC will just turn on high all by itself. It has been in the shop too many times for a new truck. Ford won't post my review because I wrote how much money the pickup cost. The shop keeps telling me that they can't duplicate the key issue but they are waiting on Ford engineers to get back to them to find a fix. Also, I have to try to drive it because the dealer just can't get it in to work on it again right now. They don't have any loaners to give out. If you get past all of these issues, it would be a really nice pickup. Lots of room and great power(V8 5.0) with great gas mileage(over 600 miles per tank at 70-85Mph). Just pray that you get it started and into gear before it says no key detected!!

Ford F150- Platinum

This truck has many great features. We have had for 2 weeks and already having issues with Apple car play not staying connected. I am tech engineer so I am aware of how to try different methods to make sure its the vehicle and not lack of knowledge and not my iPhone. Its the technology in the truck. I am also noticing in the Platinum, there are 2 designs in the seats. One that contours outward ( it has a seat that lays completely flat for rest) and one that contours inward. The one thats the newest design and can only find in a few right now.. is not comfortable to me and thats because you cant feel like you relax all the lumbars because the seat is contoured outward in the middle section of the seat. Its designed to offer 3 lumbar positions. The middle is the one with a problem because its where the seat bows outward, like in your back. Other than that, I love the truck for the drive, the smoothness of the transmission and quietness.

Less the 80 miles already broken

Picked up my 2021 F-150 limited today. Did not even make it home from the dealership before engine and other warning lights came on. Reduced power so truck could not even accelerate. Of course dealership closed as I was leaving so I don't even have a car to drive. Thinking I should just return it because if I can't even make it home on delivery day what am I in for in the future.
