The perfect truck for my purposes
I traded a 2013 F150 with 3.7 V6, up to my FX4 5.0 Coyote. Ok. I LOVE....the quiet smooth ride. Did I say quiet? Very quiet. Huge rear seat area which is great for long trips because I can sleep back there when my wife is driving. I have been reading the forums and started getting a little worried about tranny issues, but after 2000 miles it's just getting better. Yes I HATE the ASS feature, but at least I can disable it. The sound system is adequate, very functional and the FordPass rocks! I love the V8 and the power and sound. I test drove the Ecoboosts and almost got the 3.5, but it just had no character. Anyway, I am a bit concerned about the oil consumption issue with the V8. So far, nothing. I'm also getting pretty good milage. My last truck would get 21 mpg on the hwy. Pretty sad for a 3.7. The 5.0 gest 19-20 at 80 mph. I got the 36 gallon fule tank and I can literally drive all day without stopping. I love this truck! Sorry to hear all the horror stories out there though. I'm just lucky so far.

Worst vehicle I've ever owned!
This truck has been a nightmare! I've owned it less than 6 months bought it used 2019 around 10,000 miles on it and its been in the shop 3 times, each time over 2 weeks! I've had shifting issues so bad I could have swore I was rear ended multiple times, wiring harness issues, knock sensor issues, complete power loss 2 times (complete shut off.. No steering, braking, NO POWER, cooling fan went crazy! The engine light is consistently on. The worst of all rodent issues! They love the soy base wiring! I've set traps (caught nothing), put out De-con, sprayed my truck nightly with peppermint oil, dryer sheets in the hood, moths balls, led light under the truck at night, camera under the truck (nothing again) I hired pest control found no evidence of rodents around my home. Yet here we are again, my truck had been in the shop for 10 days now and my warranty doesn't cover rodent damage (of course not!). Buyer beware, nothing but issues!

Good Truck, Terrible Technology & Advancements
I recently purchased a 2019 Lariat FX4 F-150 to replace my 2016 RAM 1500 Limited EcoDiesel. I purchased my F-150 with the 'famous' 3.5L V6 Ecoboost, with 3.54 gearing. Right from the start, I noticed the suspension was extremely mushy. The back end without weight in it kicks over bad roads. There are many forums online discussing this. Solution: Bilstein Upgraded Shocks. The completely unnecessary 10-speed tranny is god awful in hilly conditions. When driving up a hill, a Prius can pass you without a sweat. Reason being the tranny likes to get to 10th as quickly as possible and sits there. You have to jab the throttle, wait for the shift & turbos to boost, and then rack in the desired speed increase. Its terrible. On highways if you need to make a quick move, don't rely on this truck. When you hit the gas, the tranny knows you'll need a lower gear to quickly move, however it only drops 1-2 gears giving you lackluster results. Then unhappy with that, you press harder on the pedal, and the trans shifts to 3-4 gears down (YES!), and delivers you a BURST of excess power. However all of this took so long that the gap you were trying to merge into, or change lanes to, has already faded from existence. Why can we get linear power? Ford programming is so fuel economy minded, it puts safety at risk. Last caveat is the trucks electric power steering. Like all power steering system, the wheel returns to center when you loosen your grip on the steering wheel. This power steering system is so strong, it returns the wheel to center in break neck speed! Three of the other cars we test drove all did the same. If you normally let the wheel unspring itself out of a turn, don't do it with this one. Keep one hand on it. - Now the good. I've owned since new an 05 F350 which I still own. That truck is a great example of why people associated 'premium truck' with Ford. The build quality and materials were superior to anything else out there. I see that same craftsmanship in my 2019 F-150, and understand why it is the best selling truck in America. It rides comfortably (with upgraded shocks), engine delivers adequate power, and aesthetics overall look are great. If your a tech guy, who likes to customize the infotainment, consider RAM trucks. This SYNC 3 system is very limited to what you can do.

2019 F-150 XLT
My favorite truck. Love the look and feel. The 5.0 V8 is powerful and responsive. The 10 speed transmission took a little getting familiar with but love it now - the crew cab is spacious with a quiet comfortable ride.
Poor quality control!!
Transmission problems with 10 speed trans, by now Ford should have figured it out ,the dealer installed new trans at 7000,but bangs on deacceleration.I now have 12,800 on it and the cam phasors are now noisy on cold start, also dash is warped and coming apart. Why would anyone want their engine torn apart and dash taken out and replaced???Recipe for DISASTER!!!! Right now my 2011 Tundra and 2017 Nissan Titan XD with a Cummings diesel look pretty good!! 2019 ford f150 xlt 3.5 ecoboost not a rapto2
