Used 2005 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Consumer Reviews
2005 Ford XLT Supercrew 4.6L
My Texas edition Ford F-150 is a really good overall truck. Power from the 4.6L engine is lacking and the transmission is always shifting whenever there is the slightest grade in the road. I've had my truck in the shop four times in the last year. First three times was because the air conditioner wasn't blowing cold air. After the third visit, the dealer ship figured out it needed more freon as it wasn't serviced properly at the factory. The fourth visit was because when I applied my brakes, the front end would shimmy. The dealer got it right the first time and machined the rotors. The truck only has 25,000 miles on it, the brakes should not have needed machining that early in their lives.
Room Galore
I cannot believe how quiet it is inside the truck. Much quieter than the Chevy. I was close to buying a Chevy with the employee discount, until Ford could beat their price. I am sure happy they did. If you want a truck this is the way to go. If you want a truck that is more like a car, get the Chevy. Chevy doesn't allow for as many mixing and matching with the options.

2004 F-150 Supercrew Lariet 4WD
Rear differential has whined since new. Rear differential had to be replaced. Battery junk making vehicle unreliable. Ford said there was a bad plate. Charged the battery and refused to replace under warranty. Stranded 6 times. Finally, dealership replaced battery. Windshield has stress crack running all the way across. I have owned many new Chevys, Dodges and Fords over the years. I am not impressed with the quality. I don't see where the customer service is anymore.
My Ford F-150 Truck
I had driven my brother Ford F-250 Lariat and I was so surprised that a truck could handle so easily along with comfort plus quietness. When the time came for me to purchase another vehicle, Ford F-150 Lariat was my choice of trucks I had been looking at.In fact, my Ford truck handles more easily than my car. My Ford F-150 is very good on gas, example, I live in Georgia and I took a trip to Jacksonville, North Carolina, approximately 390 miles and it didn't used a full tank of gasoline. It still had 134 miles to go before the big "E". Great on gas, especially now with gas prices over the hill. I wouldn't trade my F-150 for any other truck, just love driving it too much. You Check one out.
F-150
I love almost everything about the truck. The only thing I wish for is better fuel mileage. The truck ride great. I use it for hunting, the off road features is the best I have ever used. I think Ford has the best looking truck there is. Power is pretty good. I use it to pull a trailer and it can do it no problem. This truck rocks
