I had a 1996 F150 reg cab new and wanted the 2004 as soon as I saw it. Great looks turn heads as I go down the road. It's fun to drive and peppy despite what these other reviews have said. Try stepping on the accelerator. I have the 4.6L and it will get me out from behind those slow poke drivers. This truck is wider than it's predecessors which you can tell by reaching across the front seat.

I bought a red SuperCrew with tan interior, tow package, two-tone lower gold and of course the 5.4 3-valve with the 3.73 gears. The truck has performed superbly. Originally it was a rental and had 12,000 miles which tells you it wasn't used with the most care, but the interior, exterior etc. showed almost no signs of wear. The truck has never let me down. The only thing "bad" that happened was it needed a new starter. The interior has top-notch quality and design much better than other trucks. The exterior is muscular and tough. The 5.4 performs with awesome power. The brakes had to be replaced at about 30,000 miles but I drive mostly city, unfortunately. It does get 13-15 miles in town.

Great New Truck, Check It Out!

The new F-150 SuperCrew is fun and roomy. I have 3 children from newborn to 12 they all fit in back with room for diaper bag and more. If you get it with the center council, your wife will love it too; with room for her purse, CD's, the vidio camera, and more. There is storage in the doors, glove box and over head compartments. The 4.6L V8 with Limited-slip rear end give you pleanty of power and control in even the slipperiest of conditions. The ABS brakes and Suspention give it a great controlled stop even in wet conditions. It is a truck than rides like a luxury car, but has the power and versitility to be the truck that it is.

F150 XLT 5.4L V8

Purchased my F150 XLT Supercrew two weeks ago. So far this is the most refined ride and best looking truck on the market. I looked at the dodge, nissan and toyota full size trucks and none compare to the F150. My best friend drives a new Dodge Ram and the ride is terrible, the turn radius is rediculous. Several posts compain that the engine is not powerful enough but the 5.4L V8 is very strong and the accelleration is very smooth, don't believe the hype.

2004 F-150 SuperCrew

The 2004 F-150 SuperCrew holds the road well, offers a solid ride and comfortable room for five. Still,it leaves room for improvement. One bugaboo is the A/C; you have to hit a smallish button every time you start the vehicle to engage the A/C. The Continental tires that came standard are cheapish, and would be much better with Goodyears or Goodrich truck tires.
