this is a basic 2 wheel drive long bed f-150 w/ air, bench seats,6 cyl vehicle w/ 162,000 miles on it. the motor will run for ever but the transmission has been bumpy for the last 100,000 miles, by that i mean it catches on occaison but still functions. this truck is extremely reliable and has reinforced my desire to buy another f 150, only this one will have more features

I've had my pickup for almost 2 years now, and I had no problems at all. It runs and looks fine!

I bought this truck new,and it was fine until the odometer hit 39k miles. Then prematurely, the power steering pump went south! Of course Ford turned their back on me, that soon after the expiration of the warranty. So, $380 later I can steer like I should be able to. At 65k, all of the steering parts needed to be replaced. Then finally at 81k the transmission went, taking with it the radiator and transmission cooler. Seems it was a defective transmission, as it never shifted right. The dealer said that was normal lol ... and then the lines all plugged up from this type of premature wear. I later found out that this was a common problem on Ford AOD trannies. I'll never buy another Ford again! Fix Or Repair Daily.

It has over 250,000 miles and still runs on the original 351. The trans finally gave at 240 and it is now sporting a c6. This truck will take any thing you can give it. I jump it, take it off-road and drive it every day. The truck is fast for being what it is. I can out run almost any new Chevy and some HEMI Dodges too!
