2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT Premium Rwd 4dr Crew Cab (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
slow off the line, not much power needs
a 8 cylinder, other than that, it is a
pretty good truck. i like the looks and
the styling of the sport trac. perfect
size.i dont like the where the cruise
control buttons are they should be
where they are on the g.m.s on the turn
signal switch. the sun visor should
have extensions like the g.m.s
styling, comfort, ride, handling,
color, size, able to see out of the
truck and almost no blind spots.
the back window is ok that it goes down
all the way but it should not come up
all the way ,it should not go up
automaticaly .the rear doors should
unlock when the truck is put in park,
not just the front.
2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLS 4WD 4dr Crew Cab (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
A good truck for those not needing lots
of bed space. The interior offers lots
of room and a comfortable ride. Heat
and A/C controls in back seat a plus,
as is the roll down rear window. I
have been very pleased, and as a
mechanic, I have not seen many problems
Roll down window (rear) , fold down
back seats, seat warmers and great
styling. A real plus for sports
enthusiasts is the use of vinyl floor
covering with carpeted (removable)
floor mats making cleaning when off
roading a joy!
Needs different engine options- the 4.0
is a bit underpowered for some(although
towing capacity is 5000 lbs), and a
small V8 might give it added power
without drinking more gas.
2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT 4WD 4dr Crew Cab (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
I bought my Sport Trac during a
Colorado Blizzard and drove it home
using the 4wd. I have driven it to
California from Colorado and from
Colorado to Las Vegas 4 times with no
complaints. I have hauled fence
material for my MOM, furniture for
friends, and many things for me. My
daughter sits in the back and loves to
use the climate control. I currently
have 19,000 miles only one transmission
coolant line that the dealer fixed. I
would buy a sport trac again it this
car was ever totaled.
The rear climate control is great. The
rolldown rear window allows me to haul
even more items in the bed of the truck.
2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT Rwd 4dr Crew Cab (4.0L 6cyl 5A)
I bought the sport trac because of its looks, size
and features and think that it will suit my purposes
of light hauling. I think the interior is average and a
bit dated, and pales in comparison to the new f150
interior. I really enjoy the power rear window and
its driving comfort. However, I must say suspension
has the truck jumping all over on bumpy roads. I
would really love this truck if the ride was a bit
smoother and not as skiddish.
Styling and the power rear window.
Update this interior! It looks so dated, especially
after looking at how nice the new F-150 is. The ride
is very jittery. Not smooth over bumpy roads.
