Switched from Suburban to Expedition Max.
Decided to look at Expedition Max after having 4 suburbans and 1 yukon XL. The ecoboost is a great engine and much more power than the 5.3 V8. Gas mileage is about the same but that's to be expected. 20 highway. The sport mode is fun and the seats are very comfortable. One thing you'll notice different than the GM product is the steering. The Expedition has a way more responsive steering. Panoramic roof is a great option. XLT with 202A package has all you need, including heated and cooled seats and leather.

Mixed Results
The ride quality is really nice with this car, however.... The biggest issue has been; 1. headrest are so far forward that they create neck and back pain (even when adjusted back); 2. Automatic Cruise is ok but doesn't recognize slowdowns fast enough, if you use it in traffic you'll always feel like you are about to crash into the car in front of you (note I have this on other cars and it's not an issue) 3. Blue tooth audio quality is terrible, nobody can hear me. 4. Rear cargo room is not great with 3rd seat up (I am comparing this to my old Escalade which has a ton of room with the 3rd seat up.

Great ride
When you have back pain it is hard to find a smooth riding vehicle. All makers go for sport handling and performance. Finding a ride that is smooth still takes wheelbase and weight, add to that the exceptional stability control found in this suv means that you get the ride but it doesn’t handle like a rhinoceros on a wet clay bank.

Transmission problems!
I bought my 2019 Ford Expedition used at just under 100K miles. I had the vehicle for 5 months (put on about 5k miles) and it needs a new transmission. Disappointed is an understatement! I was never a Ford fan but after having a 2011 Subaru Tribeca, I loved all of the space and features of the Expedition. I was absolutely in love until I could no longer drive it. Now, it's been in the shop for the last 8 weeks for a full transmission rebuild! The dealership talked us into a rebuild instead of a new one and had to wait several weeks on parts and even received a faulty valve body from Ford. I suppose these are the risks you take when buying pre-owned but I never would have imagined having to pay for a full transmission rebuild on a $30,000 vehicle that I've only owned for 5 months. Never will I ever own another Ford!

Smooth Ride
I picked up my new used 2019 Limited with 23,000 miles. I had a 6 hr, drive ahead of me it was great. So comfortable & quite. 65 MPH got 23.4 mpg. :) I looked at Chevs & Toyota and this trunk 2019 rating is up from pervious years and the newer 10 speed transmission was smooth. I did not like the motor stop at stop lights but is easy to turn off.
