Constantly in the shop
Every year or so the accelerator just stops working and the car shutters to a stop. It goes into limp mode. It has happened four different times, and been replaced four different times. Each time the Ford shop looks at the car mystified for several weeks until they are able to recreate the shutoff. Yesterday, the brake caliper came loose. My car is constantly in the shop and so unreliable. I have an extended warranty, but I have spent sooo much on the deductible payments. Don’t buy this car.

First & Last Ford, not safe for families
I bought the expedition because of the room and comfort. Seemed to be reliable until 60K miles. The heat and air went out and it turned out to be a recall that caused interior fires, they used my extended warranty to repair it and charged me the $100 deductible, because the recall parts are not available until 2023(but the problem occurred August 22). I was driving back to and the brake fluid light came on quickly and disappeared, then i tapped the brake and there was no brakes. The car had to be towed it turns out this is a master cylinder recall, good thing I had no one in the car with me not safe. The left front tire came off it sent the vehicle spinning into the air and I was lucky it went off the side of the interstate instead of in the interstate with oncoming traffic. 66K miles the vehicle has always been serviced by Randy Marion Ford, and two weeks after the service I was traveling on the interstate and a low engine oil light came on. I called the service department I was told not to drive it I took to the service department dropped it off. It had 20 different codes on it, they are going to see if the extended warranty will cover it. It only cover lubricated parts and the tear down is $1100.00 per tax and the warranty company requested the tear down to find the concern for the failure. I had to agree to pay this in the event the warranty doesn't. Ford is not built to last, it is not safe for families. When I get the vehicle back I'm going back to Toyota!

Technically deficient-no change in 3 years
Sync3 specifically navigation is terrible, maps 3+ years old. Not acceptable in today's world. Voice interaction borders on very bad. If you buy just before you sign ensure a free sync3 update when it is out. Use Google maps. After update it still does not find major roads that have been ther for three years. Google does. Blue tooth connection is terrible repaired twice. Consistently connects then disconnects and back again while driving. I have a Samsung Note 8 which works fine after they "fix" the Sync3. Voice interface for Sync3 is archaic at best.
