Used 2019 Ford Escape Consumer Reviews
2019 Escape titanium
Update: my update stays basically the same. I've taken this car on many 200 mile plus trips this summer of 2023 and it's been great. My only complaint is the GPS the car came with takes you around about way to get places. It needs to be updated but the update is expensive. It's around $200. The car continues to be one of best we have ever owned. The rear reclining seats are a kid hit for trips. Quality of workmanship is excellent from cabin to engine and park assist is great! We have had a 2005 and then a 2011 Escape Limited. We loved both but the new white metallic Escape Titanium 4WD is the best. Quiet, smooth ride, lumbar support, power leather seats, parking assist are all amazing. Road handling, cornering, etc are excellent..one of our favs is heated steering wheel. Quality is wonderful. We drove a Mustang as our 2nd car and sold it and leased high end 2022 Kia Sportage. But the power in this Titanium can walk away from the Sportage and other cars with ease, handling and turning is excellent. Only drawback is design location of liftgate and of lamp buttons...too close together when you're driving and trying to turn fog lamps on.

Don't buy one...
Had engine replaced at 32k, few weeks later had the flywheel replaced. Few weeks later started sputtering and turned off while backing up. Dealership kept it 3 days and found nothing. Took it home and got about 20 miles and started up again. Drove it. Cleared up after a week and behaved for 6 weeks. Last week started sputtering again and today turned off 8 times, 6 of those times were at at stop light. Nothing while moving.. yay. Took it to dealership, behaved the first trip out with the service manager. They took it out again and cut off. Saying may be an emissions problem. And may not be covered by warranty...I've got 43k on this car, 10k on the new engine.

Keeping my fingers crossed.......
I bought this vehicle new 2.5L FWD $17,300 plus ttl, for my son to hopefully get through high school and college with, the only option was the upgraded rims. He doesn't have his licenses yet, so all miles, except about 300, I have driven. At about 1,200 miles the front right axle shaft failed, bearing, less than a mile of warning, stopped at a red light, of course one of the worst in town at lunch, and no power what so ever, like it was in neutral, thought the transmission had failed. Pushed it out of the intersection, called the tow truck. I'm now at about 7,900 miles, no other issues. I like the vehicle, quick, sporty, easy to see out of and fun to drive.
A great value
This is a nice car and a great value as the last of the design. I would have given it a strong 5 but they eliminated a CD player and eliminated a standard port so one could even play a CD from a portable player. The MP3 options are NOT acceptable because of the difficulty in transferring CD content to an MP3 device. Another little problem is the delay in the ecoboost turbo engaging when shifting from the reverse gear to a forward gear. Otherwise, the car is a great value and the profit from its sale helps America instead of Japan, South Korea, Germany, etc. Heaven knows we taxpayers provide defense and many other amenities to those economies.
