Satisfied With My Hybrid
Many people do not realize that Hybrid's do best in city driving. Mine switches to electric for 1/2 my drive to and from work. Saves a lot in gas each month. I monitored just city driving and averaged 35mpg. Country driving it dropped to 20mpg. But it is worth the savings. The only problems I have had so far (I bought this used) was the battery drains fast if you are not driving. Not a big deal if you don't sit around in your vehicle with engine not running with phone plugged in and running the stereo. Also, had to replace shocks and struts. Since I bought this used they were hard to replace due to rust issues. Fortunately a friend replaced them for me for no labor charges, I only paid for the parts. Keeping front tires balanced is a BIG issue with this vehicle. Don't use this vehicle like you can drive off road. Not meant for that either. Overall, with the gas savings and minor repairs, it's been a great vehicle for me.

'05 Hybrid
Have over 1000 kilometers on my hybrid now and am on my second tank of gas. Performance is excellent and mileage is good but not as high as advertised. The CVT takes getting used to as does the electric drive, but both work flawlessly. Very pleased with my purchase.

Happy so far, but anxious about the future.
As stated in my title, I am happy with my car so far. I bought it from a friend, and it had salvage on the title, due to the frame being badly bent, but I cannot say I have experienced any issues yet. Thus far it has proven reliable. I have driven through snow and rain with no issues so far. I am having difficulty shaking my feelings of anxiety because of the bent frame reducing structural integrity in a car accident, but besides that, no problems to report yet.

700 miles, so far so good
Purchased this vehicle just over a week ago and so far am very satisfied. Mileage is near double the 2000 Volvo V70XC it replaced. My other vehicle is a 2002 Toyota Prius and the Escape Hybrid feels very comfortably familiar.
Newest Gadget!
I desperately needed a new car last year. I'm fortunate in that I can afford anything non "exotic." NOTHING on the market appealed to me visually. When I heard that Ford and Lexus were making hybrid SUVs I was interested. Last summer, I first test drove a Lexus 330 as it was the most similar thing they had to the delayed 400H -- lovely to look at but ergonomically it was VERY uncomfortable. The Escape is much more functional, and WAAAAY too basic on the interior, but was more comfortable, so I bought it. The CVT is fun; sort of a crossbreed. The brakes were hard to get used to; the stopping distance is further. The interior is CHEAP! Not even clothing hooks for dry-cleaning pick-ups.
