Happy in OCNJ
My review is based on less than a week of ownership of a 2019 Ford Edge with 14,000 miles. It is CPO and the dealership (Gentilini Ford in Woodbine, NJ) was great to work with and provided a very competitive price. That said... the SUV exceeded my expectations during the test drive. The vehicle has a solid, safe feel on the road. I was concerned about 0-60 speed and was pleasantly surprise with the Edge's pep. The interior is comfortable and has a conservative appearance. Not very flashy, but nice. I purchased the AWD SEL model, which came with many nice features including heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, windshield wiper defroster, navigation system, apple play, remote start, upgraded wheels with Michelin tires, wireless phone charging, two set of car mats (winter and summer) and lane assistance. I learned about the Edge after reading a review of a more popular competitor's vehicle, that recommended adding the Ford Edge to the test drive list. The design is well thought out. Plenty of leg room and a generous cargo area with storage areas. I chose a silver exterior with black leather seats. A very nice looking vehicle. In summation... nice looking, comfortable drive, good pep, plenty of features and well designed. If you don't have to have a luxury badge on the hood of the vehicle, you should really consider this vehicle.

2019 Edge SEL
Vehicle runs fine with enough power and ample safety features. That said my wife finds it difficult to find comfortable driving position. Passenger seat lacks lumbar support. Passenger foot area bit short and awkward. Very annoying rattle in back seat area during cold weather. Once interior warms noise diminshes but still present. Previously owned Buick Regal for 8 years not one rattle or squeek. Normally we own new vehicle for about 8 years. So far not real impressed with this one. Wife would like it gone now after only 3 months. We wished we had looked closer at GM, Kia or Hyundai products. We do not recommend buying Ford Edge.

Horribly unresponsive
Everything takes about 20 minutes to get started from the air conditioner turning on to the gas pedal registering that you're accelerating to try and avoid an accident or something where you actually need to be moving out of the way and the Ford Edge will completely refuse to accelerate and therefore endangers a bunch of people

My Final Thought
I drove the Ford Edge 2019 during my four years at college and accumulated around 20,500 miles on it. Throughout my entire experience, it was a good car as it had plenty of horsepowers and could utilize the touch screen to my liking. The interior space was spacious for its class. The leather interior was average, as it felt like a hybrid of both fake and real. The seats were questionable as a hard lump was on the seats when you wanted to lie down and relax for a bit. Over time, as I drove on the highway at high speeds, there was something in the back that sounded like it was rattling. I couldn't figure it out and had no time to sort it out. The premium speakers that Ford offers are excellent! Watching videos and listening to great music felt like an entire atmosphere. The interior and exterior lights were bright as they were LED lights. The driving experience was good. As mentioned, it felt that it had plenty of horsepower. The turn radius was tight. The accelerator felt laggy, and the transmission had trouble finding the right gear. Once, though, the engine had excessive white smoke coming out from the back, shaking when idling. The RPM was constantly dropping back and forth and lost its entire coolant. And it was at around 19,000 milages and occurred in its fourth year alive. Eventually, I got it to trade it in and get myself a Toyota, as I should have.

Very disappointed
Update: Traded for a 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I could not be happier. Good riddance to “The Turd”. For the price, I could have purchased a Honda Passport or Mercedes GLA. Tiny screen displays only radio information and useless back-up camera. Interior materials appear to have been selected for fluid-resistance only. This SUV has the same engine as the Focus which weighs 1,000 lbs less. Sluggish acceleration. Poor throttle response. My guess is that it is probably pretty safe...because force = mass x acceleration... The vehicle appears to be well-assembled. No rattles or squeaks. I know tons of people who love their Edge Limiteds or Titaniums. They are very nice until time to trade in. Of the very few things in life that are certain, there is the fact that I will NEVER buy another Ford Edge SE...ever...
