Work and play
I bought this truck brand new. It really grows on you. The ride is very smooth on the highway and handles much better than most would think. I am a fishing guide and tow a 5200lb boat over two hundred days a year. The Hemi does fantastic. I am also 6'2 and have so much room in it. The only down side I have seen so far is if you are like me the rear seat passengers may be a little cramped if they are large adults. I have towed the boat now for almost 2500k so far so good. I will update this at 15k. I would suggest that if you plan on towing anything heavier than 8000lbs go with the diesel.
'05 Dodge diesel 4x4 2500
Well- I got this truck last year because of the increasing gas prices, well now diesel is more expensive than gas. Besides that, I'm getting 14mpg avg. between hwy & city. I was getting better mileage with my 2001 chevy z71. I like the truck, but hate the fuel efficiency.

Traded in a 03f-350cc after test driving the dodge, what a difference. This truck rides and handles so much better. The power of the cummins is unreal. The only complaint is with the ford you get a lot of extras you dont with the dodge. No locking tail gate,no back-up sensor,no running boards...These are not expensive items but handy once you get used to having them. Get with it dodge!!
Farm function, family fun
I have truly enjoyed my Dodge heavy duty pickup. I drive it to work every day and get reasonable fuel economy (diesel) for such a large vehicle, even though my foot is a little heavy. On weekends and after hours, I put it to good use on the farm. It is all tricked out with the Laramie package and GPS navigation system, so it makes a rather fancy work truck for the farm, but I intend to keep it and use it on the farm until it dies. As reliable as it has been, it may outlast me! The long bed is well worth the extra couple of hundred dollars, though driving it in a parking deck is much like tackling a slalom course in a school bus.
New Ram Fan
I had owned two Fords and had excellent service over 19 years from both of them, so it was going to take a lot to get me into something else when the time came to replace my last truck. I looked at the big three, and after tons of comparison, shopping, reading, test drives, and talking to current owners, I settled on the big Ram 2500. It has performed flawlessly in everything I have asked it to do, from taking a trip to the coast in comfort (about 700 miles round trip on a one fillup), to carrying everything in one trip to bulid a large expansion on our deck.
