60K to 120K good truck
I've enjoyed this truck. I would buy another. My income puts me in the used market so I don't have huge brand loyalty. I used it to tow a 28 foot travel trailer on holiday weekends - decent power for that. Four wheel drive in the snow is great. I did spend money on some repairs. Intake mainfold gasket replaced, front wheel bearings, and front end steering parts twice. I think that it's just part of the 4WD thging. I live in Wisconsin. It's starting to rust - go figure.
I Love my DODGE!!!
I bought this vehicle used with 87,000 miles on it. I love it, its been the best vehicle I have owned to date, it drives like a brand new vehicle. tight as a drum , no squeaks or any problems
97 Ram 1500
This has been a fun vehicle to drive. Had to get the transmission worked at about 45,000 miles and the anti-lock brake light came on when new (warranty item). Brakes were good for over 80,000 miles. Other than that, only normal maintenance. I expect it to keep on ticking for a long time.
1997 Dodge Ram 1500 V8 SLT
I got my Ram with the 5.9L V8 over the 5.2 because of the increased horsepower and torque. Although it doesnt seem like 10hp and 10 lb-ft would matter, the 5.2 was very underpowered for this size vehicle. I get about 13-15 mpg with this guy. It's pretty wide and long, even with the Short bed on the ext. cab. It barely fits in my garage. Only problem I have is the bottom of the doors are rusting because of poor design on Dodge's part; they failed to have enough drain holes. Aside from that, this is a great vehicle.
Gas,Gas
I found this truck tohave very poor gas mileage and had a lot of rattles
