Great Truck
Bought this truck brand new in1995. So my truck is 25 years old. The dash had to be replaced. I just recently got it repainted. It has 192,000 miles. It still runs and drives great. Body is in great condition. Only had to replace the waterpump. This truck has been a very reliable vehicle. I had to replace the hood liner, and the sun visors. Love this truck and i wouldn't trade it for anything.

The Truck that Started a Trend
I wanted to buy one of these pickups when they debut as '94 models. I could not afford one at the time so I had been saving up to pay cash for one. Well I finally was able to afford one. This is really a nice truck that drives and rides like a car. The trend mentioned in the "Title" is the trend of car like trucks, but make no mistake this is a "TRUCK". I have towed and I have carried heavy loads. I really enjoy the truck.
Impressive
This truck has TONS of power. Not good for city commuting but MUCH fun when your forcast indicates 10"+ snow. A great and reliable vehicle! I have the sport edition with the bed cover.
The big ram survived the worst winter
You want a work horse the rams your choice. I have 350+km on my beast. It plowed through the winter, with out any mech failure. When I first purchased the truck there was a stutter/hesitation in between 2nd and 3rd, .. Main source of problem was the rusted muffler and its metal chunks flyin around, same with the catalyst, after replacing by myself the problem disappeared as well as the annoying clanking sound... It was not the tranny, typically with the ram tranny of this year it will hold in second gear until you lift your foot off the gas, or just floor it to get up to speed.. Remember. The 318 is a beast and it needs to be driven a little hard cause low rpm and low speed and high gear= stress
Can't put a shine on....
The engine is the only good thing. Paint is peeling off. Transmission, fuel pump, cheap plastic hvac knobs had to be replaced/rebuilt. Catalytic converter melted. Now has a wonderful vibration in the steering at speeds less than 50mph (possible control arm problem?)
