bad choice
I wanted an alternative to a minivan and thought I found it in the Dodge Journey. I was very wrong. It's tiny interior doesn't even allow for a space for my compact purse. Cramped and uncomforatble seats. Brakes have had issues since I purchased with premature and uneven wear. Had to replace front and back both at 50K miles. Ignition gets stuck in ACC mode and wont turn to off so when I take key out, it drains battery. Recall work done on that already, but worse since the recall work. Transmission is clunky and always feels like the car is about to shake apart when moving from park to reverse. So very disappointed in this vehicle.
click, click, click noise when I turn over the key
Most of the time when this once in a while problem happens its warmed up engine and when I go to turn over the key to start it it will go click, click, click. The sometime will continue each time I try to turn it over. but sometimes it will start right up after a couple of tries. Sometimes a few extra tries but always will start after several attempts. I am afraid one day I will be all out of luck and I will be stuck. DOES ANYONE HAVE A FIX IT FOR THIS?

LOVE THE CAR
Switched from a short wheel based Town & Country. Love the style. Handles great. $ cyl not as responsive as 6, but I need better mileage.
Quiet, very Quiet
I just bought the Journey because it was the most reasonably priced cross-over out there and I have been nothing but pleasingly surprised at the quality. It is the most quiet ride I have had in any vehicle for a long time. It looks great and is a blast to drive. Only downside is that I can't find any aftermarket wheels to fit. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!
fell apart at 100,000
Well I bough car used 42,00 miles ran well till it got to 100,00. in 2 months replaced brakes, 02 sensor ,coolant reservoir, fuel pump, several hoses felt like car knew when I got paid. Mechanic told me I needed muffler and I knew it was time to go after 2,500.00 in repairs. Got a new 2017 Nissan Rogue and bank paid off last 5,100.00 owed. Great ride but she was a money pit and grateful I got rid of her , I was scared to drive her. plenty of room. loved her but had to leave her alone.
