Used 2005 Dodge Durango Consumer Reviews
Not great, not bad - just right
Purchased IN July 05, out the door at 28,500 with Employee discount, rebate etc ... Traded Eddie Bauer Expedition in. Miss all the do-dads from the Ford but it's been a great truck so far. Should have gotten the 2 speed transfer but still works well in sand etc
Get the Hemi
I had owned a 2002 Durango for three years. The 2005 Model blows this away. The Hemi has so much power that I was doing 75 mph at 1900 rpm. My best advice is get all the bells and whistles, you'll love it. Much more roomier than the 2002. I had my dealer take 4,000 off sticker and 4,000 rebate. What a deal. Fold up seats are easier to use.

Hats off to Dodge for the '05 Durango
After driving a 2003 Explorer for the past two years, the Durango is a dream vehicle. There is no comparison in the engine power, the Hemi is unsurpassed, and the quality and comfort of the interior is absolutly superior to Explorer. I'm averaging 17.4 mi per gallon which is the same as the lesser engine in the Explorer. I took a real hit on the trade for the Explorer, but it was well worth it. You must test drive the '05 Durango with 5.7L Hemi.
My SXT
This is my first Durango. I was impressed with the quiet, comfort compared to my 97 Astro. We bought it for hauling the grandkids. A third row is a must have with 7, 4, and two year olds.
NH Durango
I purchased my Durango in May 2005. This is the first Dodge product I have ever owned I sold and drove Ford products for ten years and never would dream of owning a Dodge product. Well I can honestly say I'm sold on this product. The vehicle is so much nicer than any Explorer or Expedition I have owned or driven. Fit and finish are very good and it is quieter than my wifes '06 Honda Accord. It is the perfect size and goes down the highway like a Caddy. I have 6000 miles on it only maintanence is oil changes and tire rotations. No rattles or squeaks feels like it is molded from a piece of granite. Only regret is the 4.7 it has decent power but i wish I had a Hemi. Hats off to Dodge, great SUV
