2011 Charger RT (AWD) rocks!
I've had the 2011 Charger RT AWD (Max bundle, meaning fully loaded) for just under two weeks and am blown away by it. I've put just over 1,000 miles on it so far, and the Charger has surpassed every expectation I had for it. (And I set a pretty high bar.) The styling is totally standout and wows every single person who has seen the car -- even those who aren't into muscle cars and/or care about gas mileage. The interior design is outstanding, the fit and finish are of Audi levels -- I've had several Audis including most recently a 2005 Audi Allroad 4.2 -- and the Hemi, is a blast. The handling is solid and flat on curves and turns, and the pick-up, of course, is phenomenal.
RT Fuel Mileage better than expected
Don't let the V8 Hemi tag scare you off. The V8 has a fuel management system that shuts 4 cylinders down when not needed. On one open stretch of I-95 I bumped it down to 65mph and averaged between 31 and 33mpg. The system also kicks in while driving city roads around 30mph. The car has averaged about 21mpg in the city, just as good as many V6 models out there without the fuel management system. The car itself is great to drive. Fit and finish are excellent. The RT base package is all ones really needs- remote start, 8.4" Uconnect w/bluetooth, 18" alloy wheels, spoiler. A similarly equipped V6 will save you a few thousand dollars, but you'll get the value back with the RT at trade.

2011 Dodge Charger
I just picked up a new 2011 Dodge Charger. Wow! Incredible vehicle! Great MPG 29.5 MPG from DC to Baltimore, fast (292HP), easy to use 8.3" touch screen controls heated seats and you can pause and rewind live music (Sirius) playing on the radio, handles the rough roads in DC and Baltimore like a very expensive car, old school power steering - you can make a U-turn with one hand, very quiet interior, black headliner. The racetrack/LED rear lights look very nice at night. One of the best vehicles that I have ever driven! 10 out of 10! People keep stopping me at red lights, gas stations, asking me how much it costs and how I like it. Pretty cool for a base medel, entry level vehicle (27H)
Love my new R/T
Love this car to the point I had to write about. I am a tall and wide guy (6'3 250) so I need some head and shoulder room. Car shopping left me sick of small "economical" cars with road noise problems or big plush SUVs with wimpy engines. After that I had been eyeballing the Challengers with the 2011 Charger as a close second. Side by side with the new Charger: it's killer new interior, the updated scooped doors, and tail lights put me over the edge. The R/T plus RWD fulfilled all gadget-lust needs (heated/cooled cup warmers, etc...) plus thick leather, killer dash... purchased. So far commuting 280 with cc on at 77mph, and mashing pedals all around town I am holding at 18mpg combined.
Master Piece From Guys in Detroit
First of all let me give more information about my ride: Mopar Limited Edition, Transmission: Auto, Engine: 5.7 Liter I love this car. It is powerful, fast, comfy and attractive. Before this, I did not believe in American cars. Especially I was concern their built quality and reliability. Well, I was wrong! At least in this case, Chrysler made a masterpiece. Now I am driving this car for 8 months and 13000 miles. I have not had any problem what so ever. And it is so much fun to drive this beautiful car around and get lots of compliment for it. As you probably agree, this baby is a looker, especially with those pretty blue mopar strips.
315 Miles into it
Well i've had the Brand new 2011 Dodge Charger for about 3 days so far. Its red which is an extra $941. This car is pretty damm nice. I love the new touch scree with the Garmin nav system. The only thing I can see that I would like to have so far would be to be able to use the voice response system to adjust the climate control and the heated wheel and seats. I love the camera that senses rain on the windows and turns the bright lights on for you thats a great system. One problem i've had already is the infrared sensor on the door stopped working of i couldn't open the door with the key in my pocket. The dealership is ordering a new handle I guess. This car is awesome so far buy one.
A lot of car for the money
I bought a brand-new 2011 Dodge Charger 3.6L V6 Rallye Plus, and it has 29,300 miles. There were 3 recalls: 1. Front-door handles - handles' seals failed to block out the rain, causing a short-circuit, making passive-entry feature unusable. 2. ABS/Stability Control fuses - potential overheating of the fuses/fusebox, and not work. 3. Halogen (not HID) headlight wire harness - potential overheating of harness, and light not work. All recalls done free. Repairs took 2-4 hours each. But, I've experienced NONE of the 3 potential problems. Comfortable, appropriate power, good handling for big car, reliable, good car overall.

2011 R/T AWD MAX = AWESOME
I was in the market for a fun performance oriented car with room in the back for a carseat or 2. This Charger has more than exceeded my expectations. I test drove and looked at others, and nothing in the market right now can compare or compete. I'm blown away by all the features everytime I drive it. I would put this Dodge Charger up there against any M3, S63AMG, etc. The features are that good. I'd HIGHLY recommend getting the R/T MAX bundle so you don't miss out on any goodies. I get the more expensive Red paint color (worth it) with the Red leather interior (get it). This is BY FAR the BEST car I've ever had. My wife LOVES it, kids love it, and so does every guy on my street LOL.
Best Car Ever
I have the 2011 R/T Road and Track special. It is the closest thing I could get to the SRT for 2011.(SRT returns in 2012) It has all available options including the Redline 3 paint. The car holds the road like it it glued to it. The redesign is near perfect. It turns heads everywhere I go. Overall the car is so much more than I expected. I bought this car while it was leaving the factory, sight unseen. I am still excited just to look at it, driving it is an absolute pleasure. Nice ride for cruising, raw rubber burning power for showing off. The legendary HEMI lives and breaths anew in this classic redesign that actually made the car much better.
I would highly recommend this car
We have had this car since April (put on about 3,000 miles) and have taken several trips with it. The seats provide excellent support for extended trips, the ride is feels solid with out being overly soft or to harsh. The car is extremely quiet, and the biggest surprise is the fuel economy. Daily driving is short trips around town we average between 20-21, on the highway we have averaged 28-30 at highway speeds of 70-75 with 5 people, gear through the hills of PA. We haven't had any issue with it. The transmission is a little sluggish at times shifting but overall it's a solid car. Fit and finish are excellent.
Very Impressed with Dodge
Bought a white SE. Have the base model but still a very nice car. I have never owned a Dodge before until now. Cant believe how nice the inside is. The cloth seats are nice but a little firm. Might need to break them in a little. Powerful V6 and quiet when cruising in ecco mode. The car is Lexus quiet at 70 mph. Very solid car too over bumps. No cheap plastics inside like the previous models and has a nice solid feel inside with soft material throughout.
A great car
I bought my Charger R/T Max AWD in 2011. This car has just now had its first service issues after 3-1/2 years and 66K miles. The check engine light came on and the blind spot feature is only working intermittently. I am sure my Dodge dealership will fix these problems tomorrow. This car is really fun to drive and is very safe. With the AWD and snow tires it has no problem handling the tough Upstate NY winter conditions of snow and ice. Still going strong at 120K miles.

Good,Sporty,and Eye Catching
Bought a used 2011 Dodge Charger SE with 31K on it and the only thing I had to fix was the front rotors which the car lot did for me at the dealer. They seem to go out faster than other cars from what I read. I upgraded the cloth to Katskin leather, put a spoiler on it,and put high quality tint as well. The car already had decals so it has made my 23K Charger look just like the 45K SRT that is in the showroom. The only complaints I have it that I wish it was 305hp instead of 292hp and I had rims instead of rim/caps.
My Second Charger
This in my second Charger R/T. I love wheat they've done to this car. Essentially they've gone back to the drawing board and a new car has evolved. This car turns heads everywhere I go. I have the R/T Rallye plus, fuel milage is excellent for a car that has nearly 400 hp. I get approx 20mpg in mixed driving. I really like the 'eco' icon on the info cluster that allows you to know when you're in fuel savings mode.
Short Term Delight
I bought an R/T plus with all the options used in 2013 with 32kmiles on it, based on the appeal of the styling, the power, and the convenience of a sedan. I got plenty of compliments on the looks of the car, and riders were impressed with the comfort and features. However, reliability was a question from day one, so extended warranty was a must and it paid off. The car's performance and features are great but the quality is just not there. The ownership experience gets old quickly as time, recalls, and repeat repairs start piling up. The engine is great but the 5-speed transmission does not downshift promptly to let the engine shine. There's plenty of power but the transmission manages to disappoint with its slow response. At times the car felt lethargic. Not what you would expect on a muscle car. I can see how the new 8-speed can vastly improve the performance. Cornering and braking are a whole different matter. The ESC has to work hard to keep the car from snapping if you push it hard. It's really not a great handling car. You can tell agility is compromised to have a tolerable ride. Brakes are ok on emergency stops but undersized for the weight of the car. Brake pads never quite got fully burnished and vibration was overwhelming when braking at moderate speeds. This problem is common to Chargers and Challengers, and no amount of disc resurfacing or proper pad burnishing would make it go away. Then the alternator diode thermal fatigue issue hit me when the car shut down and nearly caught fire. Luckily this happened right after leaving my driveway. The recall (one of several i had during 5 years of ownership) was out with no fix at the time so a new alternator was put in. I loved this car for the first few years, but I'm glad it's gone now. I still own a Jeep Grand Cherokee that has had it's own share of recalls and quality issues. Once that car hits the end of the extended warranty, it will take a lot of improvement for me to consider another FCA product in the future.

2011 Charger W/Rallye Apperance Group
This car is awesome. I fell in love immediately it has everything you could want. The 20 wheels in the Rallye package will get you car noticed. Has a powerful v6 3.6 engine that's more than satisfying. Handling is great along with little road noise. The inside is very comfortable, but the back seats seem to have a little less space than previous years. The touch Screen is great along with the audio. A nice 4 door with style!
Charger...More like Junker
I bought a new Dodge Charger and could not wait to have this home. I love the style, body and gas mileage was reported to be great. Once I got the keys, the door sensor would not unlock the doors, then the key would not be recognized. I bought it back the following week and got the sensors changed out, keys reprogrammed and the nightmare started. Car would die while driving, was told by dodge,"its not life theatening" sure f then would not recognize key, display said Key Not Detected. I have taken the car in 3 times now and still no real solution. The Concole freezes up and can not change the AC/Heater Setting, control the volume or radio options. I wasted 27k on junk!!!Dodge does not care
The Best Full Size Automobile in America
I'm the very happy owner of a powerful new V8 Charger. The V6 test driven was perfect, but we opted for a Hemi powered R/T to gain AWD. The quality is by far the best in North America. We tested many new '11 autos & narrowed our choice between a Charger & '11 Durango. The materials are of high quality, the ride-handling combination's perfectly balanced. We are an Acura & Honda family but added this Dodge to show the country & Chrysler our support. The Charger's on par w/ our '10 Accord Crosstour, yet a totally different car. Both excel in their respective categories. A compliment to Chrysler Co. If enormous power & AWD are not needed, the new V6 should please everyone. Test drive both 1st.
Different in a good way
I wanted something stylish and good on gas to replace my Tahoe. Couldn't be happier with my decision. The car stands out from anything around it, love the bold looks. It does not look like everything else on the road. V6 is the best of both worlds, good mileage and good power. Putting gas in the Hemi would get old quick. The interior is fantastic, nice and comfy, with a lot of standard options. Does not feel like you are in a base model car. Visibility is great and there is tons of room, does not feel cramped. First Dodge I have ever owned and so far I am impressed.
Great Balance between muscle and every day driver.
I have put 9,000 miles on my car. I purchased the max package, which has a lot of great features from the sound system to the blind spot monitor. I only wish they installed vented seats for the summer time. The car has plenty of power for its size especially up hill. The AWD is great in the snow and shuts off above 40 degrees and only turns on when it is raining, manual mode is on, or the Traction Control is turned off. If you put the car on cruse control the car will get 25 miles to the gallon on the highway. The touch screen is extremely useful. It allows you to navigate your I-pod control the climate controls, see the 5 day forecast, and watch DVDs when parked.
Sporty and somewhat practical
I previously owned a bmw 325i that I hated. So my expectations on this car were low. I took a 2k mile road trip in it and it worked better than the dealership promised. I absolutely love it. Great ride. Great gas mileage. Great acceleration and breaking. Plenty of room for everything. The only downside from it was that the Bluetooth and passive entry did not work. The passive entry was fixed by the dealer for free and the bluetooth unit is on back order. The dealer tells me that no one in the southeast has one available. I am tempted to visit the BMW manufacturing plant and do burnouts in the parking lot. Long Live Detroit!
Disappointed
I bought this car with 28K miles as a certified used car. Certified? At 33K the Cat converter failed. At 42K the whole Cyclinder head has to be replaced, at least that is what they say as of now. My car has seen the dealer so many times that the rental car person now knows my name, number and credit card number by heart. I'm dissapointed and thank god for my extended warranty. Now I have to make a decision to trade in this lemon or stick with it and hope something major does not break.
Electrical Issues
i purchased my vehicle on 3/11/11 and on 4/9/11 i have to get vehicl towed because all of my lights started to flash they said my PCM (power control module) was defected it took weeks for the dealer to get the part mind you the passenger door handle is defected as well i finally picked up my car on 4/26/11 was excited but had to take it back the next day because my headlights would not turn on almost a month later the dealer is telling me they need to replace the BCM (body control module) which is the computer of the car i have called dodge/chrysler customer assiatant and they are no help i am now filing a lemon law and see what happens from there
2011 Dodge charger Rallye
I purchased the charger on aug 12,2011.First reaction was seemed a nice reliable car,the v6 offered enough hp(almost 300hp) for my needs .For my real muscle car I have a 95 stang with 460 in it . Had car 3 weeks I put 600 miles total, first week had to replace drivers door handle keyless entry issue Lador day weekend gages flashing offf and on couldnt start car nothing worked except for strobbing gages on an off which stopped after 10 minutes . My confidence in this car is now zero. It's at dealership.I havent even made my first payment Im glad I wasnt on road trip.Previous car wae 1995 jeep wrangler with 335,000 miles with no major issues too bad this car is already having them.
Not a long term car
It was a great car that I fell in love with for the first two years. After that I realized that the car had already lost almost 50% of it' value. This car also has 10 recalls on it. After I reached 90,000 miles is when all hell broke loose on the repairs. The had to replace the head gaskets, oil cooler pump and had already been through 8 recalls. The latest recall has shut my car down due to the alternator problem. Now they want me to pay for the repairs and submit to get reimbursement for a recall on the alternator. I have never ever heard of paying for a repair when there is a recall on the part. The car completely shut down on me without warning while I was on the road. If I was on the highway I would have had a accident because the ar lost all power out of nowhere. If you want a used car I suggest you do not buy a 2011 Doge Charger or any of there cars. They have the worst service and poor customer service.

Amazing!
We are very impressed with our new 2011 Dodge Charger R/T and delighted we opted for AWD, a "must have" in the Northeast. Our new Charger was ordered all "optioned out" and the price was still below that of its rivals.
Awsome Car!!!
I've had my V6 Charger 6 months & love it! This is my daily comuter & I love every minute in this car. The body lines & styling are beautiful, mine is Toxic Orange so it really turns heads! A bit dissappointed the wheels are caps so, new wheels are in the near future. Interior is layed out nicely. Took a 1200 mile trip and found the seats are not as comfortable for that long of a drive. Love the touch screen and heated seats. Rides extremely well & quiet. Surprised the racing features under the front end came standard on the ralley ed. Performance is awsome, had it up to 140 & still hadn't hit the floor! Mileages is around 27 freeway. Found the V8 had more road noise & didn't ride as nice.
Great Car
I buy a new car every 4-5 years to use for a company car and I will have to say this car makes working fun again. Get the Hemi....it is worth the few mpg's you lose over the V6. My R/T has all the options and I can't say enough for the ease of use of everything. I get thumbs up from cars driving by and compliments at gas stations. Go drive one nothing else in its class compares.
Awesome Drive!!!
I love the drive on this car. It drives so smooth and its so spacious. I have test drove so many cars and when I drove the car I fell in love at first drive. I bought the car in 04/2011 and I have not had a problem with it. My son loves the car inside as well.
The best car I've ever owned
I love all of the options with this car, I also love the attention I get when I'm out in the car.. Everyone's head turns, and I've had people to stop me a lot asking about my Dodge Charger 2011 R/T. I do wish it got a little better gas milage. Over all it's a 4.8 stars in my book. This car is quiet, reliable, and fun to drive.
Great car
This car is fantastic in all aspects, if u want the whole package you must get the R/T MAX .

In a word - fab!
Bought mine new in 2011. I was encouraged by sales rep to take it for a spin after gawking at a black on black beauty in the showroom. As soon as my wife saw it she said it was definitely a buy. The chrome Cragar style wheels took me back to the late 60’s but this car was definitely better than anything which was available way back when. I only have 19,000 miles on it and it’s never been driven in winter so who knows it may be a collectors item one day. No regrets I decided to buy this one!
