Used 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Wagon Consumer Reviews
a bargin
we bought our car for less than 11k brand new without any hassle. The car is a joy to drive and feels nothing like the bargain basement deal it was. We are thrilled with it. The car we trade in cost twice as much in 1998 and wasn't put together as well as our PT.
Red Hot PT
I have always wanted a PT since they came out, and finally got one. I have the Inferno Red Base PT, and I love the looks. The only issue is the gas mileage. I have a 96 Voyager with the same 2.4 4 cylinder and 3 speed auto, and it gets better mileage in town than the PT. I only have 6k on the PT, so maybe it will improve. My wife wasn't crazy about the PT at first, but she drives it all the time now. I think when we finally get rid of the van, we will go with a ragtop PT. Seating is up high, with a good view of the road. The seats are a bit hard, and get somewhat unconfrontable on long trips, as there is no lumbar adjustments. Otherwise, this is one Red Hot PT that rocks!

Fine for what it was
I needed a cheap, reliable car to get me over a financial rough patch. The PT was the same color and looked like my grandma’s car, was fairly cheap so I bought it off the lot. Aside from being gutless, it was actually kind of fun to drive, although nobody on the road showed me any respect. Probably the car Rodney Dangerfield drove. But as a home owner, I could use it to cart two big dogs and bulky items. After about 80,000 miles, it started to leak every fluid it had, so I treated it like an old American car from the 80’s and traded it in while it still looked and ran good. I recall the time when a car racked up 80,000 miles, it would inevitably need many large, expensive repairs and after all, this was a Chrysler.

I had a great time driving this car.....very cute.
This car was great fun. Not comfortable in back seat. Good storage area. My only problem was driving in the snow. Even with sand bags in the back there was not a lot of traction or control. If you live where it doesn't snow, or have another car for winter driving, this is a wonderful ride !

Pt cruiser a lemon in disguise
From the start this car has had serious problems Chrysler does not know how to repair, computer changed 3 times, transmission, shaking stawling, engine lights turning and on and on and on. the car has been at the dealership now on and off since I have had the car at least once to twice a month for a week or two at a time. I have used up my towing allowance with AAA. Chrysler keeps saying theres nothing wrong or they don't know how to fix it, it is a great looking lawn ornament don't be fooled like I was by the great style it is not worth the aggravation and expense. We have all the receipts from the repairs to prove these claims.
