Used 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Wagon Consumer Reviews
Pretty good care for the price
We bought the base model. It is fun to drive but wish it had a bit more power. If i were to buy another, i'd buy another pt:) the downer was the gas mileage...power vs mileage should be better
Red Hot PT
I have always wanted a PT since they came out, and finally got one. I have the Inferno Red Base PT, and I love the looks. The only issue is the gas mileage. I have a 96 Voyager with the same 2.4 4 cylinder and 3 speed auto, and it gets better mileage in town than the PT. I only have 6k on the PT, so maybe it will improve. My wife wasn't crazy about the PT at first, but she drives it all the time now. I think when we finally get rid of the van, we will go with a ragtop PT. Seating is up high, with a good view of the road. The seats are a bit hard, and get somewhat unconfrontable on long trips, as there is no lumbar adjustments. Otherwise, this is one Red Hot PT that rocks!

Great little car
My husband and I just purchases the car a little over a month ago. We are both very tall and there is ample head and leg room for both. The cruiser is very fun to drive. The car has a lot of style outside. It has a personality, and is more that just basic transportation. We get an average of 20 mpg in the city. Acceleration is fairly good for a 4 cl. So far we are glad we bought the car especially since we paid less that $15,000.00
5 spd manual PT cruiser
I have had the car for 3 years and and have driven nearly 48,000 miles. The fuel economy is not very good and they car feels like a toy on the highway. The manual transmission is ok but the car has very limited power.
Disappointed with Dodge
I bought the pt cruiser because I liked the cute body style. I also trusted Dodge that it would last and hold it's value. I was wrong. It did not last, the brakes were bad in just a few weeks, the plugs and wires wore out quickly, and now the timing chain has slipped, which is a great cost to me. The worst part of the deal is that It's value has decreased so badly that I cannot get a decent trade in value on any car. I feel I was ripped off and sold a car at an exorbatant price, that the dealer knew would not be worth it's owed value when I wanted to trade. I am disappointed and feel the car industry has lived up to it's reputation of over charging and over-representing used cars.
