Used 1996 Chrysler LHS Sedan Consumer Reviews
Chrysler LHS 1996
Smooth to drive, until the front suspension wears out: needing ball joints, struts, and Bushings.
Great road car
This car is extremely comfortable and is easy on the gas ... for a large car OR a smaller car. I put a ton of miles on this over the road, and I couldn't be happier with a vehicle. Will definitely look at another Chrysler.
Great car
Lost front end at 37000 miles. Dealer covered under secret warranty.
LHS Review
For the most part a good car with some reliability problems. Smooth ride with a cavernous interior and trunk. Decent handling at speed and in the parking lot. Small rear window can make backing up a challenge. Reliability problems started at 60K miles. Have had to replace water pump, air conditioner, steering rack, undercarriage bushings, cruise control and tie rods. Performance and mileage seem to be keeping up. Still getting 22-24 MPG around town, and 27-30 on the road.
Some problems but overall good
This car has been a good car. I have 168,000 miles on it so far. I've had to replace the transmission twice. Tranny seems to only last about 50,000 miles or so. That's been the only major problem so far. Although bushings seem to be inferior quality.
