Used 2017 Chevrolet Volt Hatchback Consumer Reviews
Exceptional vehicle
Bought a 2017 premier with around 43500 miles. Have added 6000 since owning it for these 9 months. It is "certified" by Chevrolet which has given me added confidence in owning my first hybrid vehicle. Vehicle has great acceleration, smooth ride, quiet cabin and is very responsive. Have had no problems since ownership and a view of the maintenance records during its 3 years of lease showed no issues either. This knowledge gave me further confidence to take a chance on this used vehicle. However, currently, there is a recall concerning the "Hybrid Powertrain Control Module 2" which will be taken care of in the next two weeks. An elderly person, I have bought and driven many cars in my lifetime. I recommend this car and barring any surprises, plan to hang on to this one for a very long time. Have now owned the volt for over 4 years. The car remains as a reliable driver with 92000+ miles. I estimate that the battery range remains high -@ 48 miles per full charge on all-weather tires- as I continue to drive mostly the same routes most days. The engine performs very well on long trips when I choose to travel out of state. The car continues to perform as if it were "show room new" (now 7+ years old), as all interior seams and outside fit remains strong. I now plan to hang on to my Volt until it "bricks." This car purchase is the best I've ever made.

Awesome Mover!!!
I loved my first (2014) Volt, and the 2017 is even better. One of the best cars I have ever bought. I will keep it as long as possible. I have had it for almost three years, and love it more and more. And I have to buy gas only once a year!! The features in the Premier model were awesome and I enjoyed them all.

4 months and 3400 miles later and WOW!!!!
I knew that I would be impressed with the Volt. I had been driving various Prius models since 2003 and it was time to make the switch to an EV. But I wasn't ready to be so blown away. I get a 53 mile range on my daily commute and I drive mostly freeway. BTW it's not flat - there's some good hills on the way. I love Android Auto and the capabilities that it gives; I'm sure Apple Car Play is just as good. The technology is just great - all the safety systems that are integrated into the car are icing on the cake. And don't forget the Adaptive Cruise Control - I've used that for the past 7 years in my last Prius and Chevy has done a great job with it. Bottom line, I haven't been this happy with a car since my very first Prius. As a side comment - to the reviewers who are only getting range in the 30's or low 40's I'd say, check your tire pressure or your driving style.

This is a cool car
I bought this car after my TDI got caught up in Dieselgate. Its really fun to drive with zippy acceleration due to the electic. On top of that, you get the added benefit of supporting a solution to climate change and city air pollution. I bought it because I wanted to be greener, but was thrilled on how fun to drive the car was. I compared it to a used 2014 BMW Diesel 328, and the driving experience was similar. Not bad for 22K in CO after the tax breaks.

Preowned Volt
This is a great car which was purchased for my wife. I preferred the all electric Bolt, which was also purchased. As long as you don't drive more than 45 miles a day (or between changing) then this is a great car, especially if you can find a preowned 2016 or 2017. But get the Premier model, not the LT. it is definitely worth it.
