Used 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe Consumer Reviews
Love the vehicle not the service
Purchased new 2022 Tahoe…after 3 weeks, 1300 miles would not start and electronics acting crazy (lights flashing, windshield wipers operating) on its own. Called Chevy roadside assistance and that was a waste of time. Called salesperson asking for help and he said he would see what he could do but he never called back. After 8 hours i finally called for tow myself and got it to dealership. Checking it out now but they have no loaner should have figured that. Once they sell them you're on your own…

Issue after issue- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Purchased a 2021 Chevy Tahoe in late October 2020. Beautiful and stylish vehicle- I must say but this vehicle has many many issues. Had to have truck jump started 2+ times- there's a significant draw in battery that's notated on service dept. ticket but tech says its a typo and battery is fine, alignment is off, check engine light and "check reverse rear lamp" comes on intermittently, electrical issues, truck trunk light operation is faulty, it comes on and off intermittently, passenger side door does not unlock from inside, infotainment issues- audio connectivity issues, system update failures that causes battery drainage, The audio volume increases unexpectedly, The rear camera malfunctions at random, displaying the reverse image even after putting vehicle in drive. My passenger side view mirror cameras completely stopped working in which it was recently replaced. Headlight issues where the vehicle's passenger side headlight displays a blue filmy looking hue so dealership service dept. ordered a replacement for only one as the driver side headlight has not started displaying the blue hue as of yet. Emerging transmission issue that dealership service department is avoiding but clearly breaks feel like they are slipping when I go to stop and intermittent burning smells. I put in a repurchase claim a couple of weeks ago with GM that was denied with the reason of : " The dealership service department is working to resolve issues with vehicle." So GM clearly doesn't care about their consumers safety and who in which spend a ton of money supporting their brand. It just seems like when I take the vehicle to be serviced, it goes in with one issue and comes out with 2-3 more. I spend countless time worrying about if my vehicle will be returned completely repaired or not or if the service dept. is sick of seeing me and instead of repairing vehicle is just letting it sit in the back service lot. Did I mention all of the recalls for seat, seat belts, head rests, and fuel tank assembly??? This vehicle has caused me more stress than any other vehicle I ever owned. This is also my first American made vehicle. I had such high hopes for 2021 Tahoe but I regret this purchase and am not the least bit satisfied with all of the issues and dismissive treatment by GM and service department employees. I may be forced to bring about a lawsuit against GM because this vehicle is not safe and very defective. I said all that to say the best thing about this truck is the look, everything else is garbage.

Finally
The 2021 Chevy Tahoe is a nice change from the 4th gen model and offers Tahoe lovers a wealth of options in the premier , but the new sun roof , cameras, and passenger room make the this baby well worth the price . Rating 9 out 10 due to the gas mileage (it’s 2021 can you offer me 25 mpg?) I

silverodo to tahoe
like the inside space, ride, power of 6.2, bought new 2022 6.2 high country one week ago drove 5 days,263 miles. car would not start in driveway or shift out of park, after 3 tow company visits failure to start, hd to flat bed to chev dealer. they still have!! our only vehicle!!!!!
Add another lifter failure to reviews
Bought 2021 Tahoe Z71 in April 21 and have not had any of the issues that have plagued earlier buyers with electronic issues or leaks. Then today spits and sputtering and knocking. Take to dealership and guy says yup your 4th in line and a month out for parts and repairs. I have had 6 new chevys in last 3 years. This may be the last.
Upgrade over my outgoing 18 Yukon
Very happy with our new 21 RST. Traded in 18 Yukon SLT for this. Amazing ride with this new independent rear suspension, even with the 22” wheels. Lots of pros covered everywhere already so I’ll first go over the cons, especially comparing with the outgoing Yukon. No fog lights, express up/down windows on front only, still some cheap plastic in a 70k vehicle. The fancy rear media package that GM raves about is basically a slimmed down iPad and definitely not worth the 2500 package price. I don’t regret buying with that option but I actually think it makes the vehicle look ugly and adds to the blind spot a bit when backing up. It would be a good deal at $250, but not 2500! Infotainment seems a bit slower at everything compared with Yukon. Even something as simple as changing Sirius XM stations seems a second or even two slower. Minor issue, except when you are surfing and Michael Bolton comes on! Beyond those few cons, the new IRS and panoramic sunroof made this a great upgrade. Lots more space, especially behind the third row seats. For such a large vehicle, my old 18 Yukon had minuscule space but fixed now with the 21. Lots of extra space in the third row now and even the lowered seats (all thanks to the IRS) are all great improvements. Finally, going over speed bumps is night and day different with this suspension. Ride is whisper quiet even at highway speeds. I might actually keep this one more than my usual 2-3 year change cycle, but I’ve only owned it two days so time will tell.

I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A PEACH, BUT IT WAS A LEMON
I always wanted a Chevy Tahoe, because I rent vehicles a lot and I am normally given a Tahoe. I like the room, ride, etc. So, for my 55th birthday (12/31), I bought myself a brand spankin' new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe in Oct. 2020. It had four (4) miles on it when I opened the door to look at it. Took it for a sixteen (16) miles text drive and left with it with twenty (20) miles on it. I'm in heaven, loving my birthday present to myself for six (6) months. Then in April the engine light comes on with the message "Service Transmission". A few more miles and the message went to "Service Transmission Immediately or vehicle will shut down" I take it to the shop of course (April 2021). Problem fixed, so I was told. One (1) month later (May), engine light is back on with message "Service Transmission". Take it back to the shop, was told it was fix...again. Two (2) days later engine light back on, same message. Back to the shop. This time I was told it was a power transformer, but was told that it would be a week before the part would arrive due to it coming from Michigan and it being unable to overnight it. Received a call the next day, was told the part showed up that morning and that the tech was able to install it and my truck was ready for pick up. Arrived at the shop, tried to use remote starter to no avail and knew problem was not fixed. I informed the service guy that my remote starter was not working, he tried, did not work; was asked if I tried to start from inside, I said no. He tried, but got the same result as I. He started it from the inside, and low and behold, what did he see?? the damn engine light on with the message "SERVICE TRANSMISSION"!!! after being told that it had been fixed and a new power transformer installed. Needless to say, I left my truck at the shop (May 25th) and the service guy promising me very profusely, that they will fix the problem. But they have been unable to fix it at this point. I said to him, "I am not accusing any one, but either my truck is not being touched or the the issue is beyond fixable making this truck a piece of crap, a lemon. Told him I am calling GM and a few other people about this situation. One should not be having this issue with a brand new 55k vehicle. This is not only the first and last Chevrolet I'm buying, but first and last domestic vehicle I buy. I had Kias and Nissans before and NEVER EVER had any problems with them. Buy American??? yeah right. Never Again!!
When you aren't ready for the minivan
This vehicle has space, luxury, and functionality to haul a trailer if need be. It covers it all for each aspect of my busy life. It screams upgrade as soon as you jump in the drivers side. It drives beautifully, downside no cd player (I suppose I am showing some age) but reality is every aspect of this suv was carefully thought out.

Concerning
I have faithfully owned Chevy vehicles since the early 90’s. I replaced my 2017 Z71 Tahoe for a 2021 Z71 Tahoe and 2800 miles in and the lifter in the engine is bad. Due to the newness of the vehicle there aren’t many parts available. At minimum I have to wait a week for the part to come off the line in Michigan. I have never had issues like this with the 7 Chevys I’ve purchased prior to this. I should have waited for the 22’s

Bad lifter - same as other reviews
2021 Tahoe Sport. Our dream vehicle and it does not come cheap. Less than 7k miles when all the check engine lights came on and the car begun to shake. Issue - bad lifter. To make it worse it sat for 3 days waiting to see if parts where available. I was not given a loaner either. Day 4 - still no answer on parts but I do have a loaner now. Sad - GM = USA = not a good trend here
