2020 Trailboss WTF!
First off let me start with this truck was awesome until it wasn't. I live in the Los Angeles area and it rained yesterday which its Los Angeles so not much rain. Either way I happened to be in a parking lot when my truck suddenly stalled. Heard some clanking noise and it shutdown. Come to find out today somehow water got in the air intake and hydro locked my motor and made a rod crack the block. I literally was in a parking lot, maybe a couple inches of water at any given time. Has this happened to anyone else? Today the dealer told me this isn't GM issue but it is mine for driving in the rain... Seems odd that a truck designed for off-roading "trailboss" can't simply drive in the rain in Los Angeles. I reached out to GM and they have started a claim, just seeing if anyone else or if anyone knows of other instances like this. I bought this truck this March and has only 9k miles on it. I've only ever owned Chevy's so i'm hoping GM steps up and does the right thing. Seems to be some flaws in this design, this would make sense if i was under water but his wasn't the case. Average truck
Owned this Silverado for 20 months and traded it for a 2021 F-150 Super Crew XLT. The F-150 is a Much Better truck! Don't waste you time with the Silverado.

Amazing mileage
Traded my 2013 Ram 2500 Mega Cab for the 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 RST with the Duramax and so far I love the truck. I normally average 32-34 mpg on the highway and 23 in the city. Average 22-24 towing my boat on the highway. The ride is much smoother than the ole 2500 and tows my boat like it's not even there. Only things I'm not use to is not having the ram boxes, manual engine brakes and not having as much cabin space. Other than that I like the truck. Could not select the proper trim in vehicle details because of the lack of Edmunds detail selections.

7500 miles, 3rd time in the shop
I traded in an old 1999 Dodge 1500 4x4 for a 2020 Trail Boss 6.2. After 225,000 miles I thought the dodge's time was up. I should have kept it. The Trail boss was bought new, just over 9 miles on it and the rear brake light on the drivers side stopped working, I thought it was a bulb that was loose. Gm put a new blub in and sent me on my way. It went out again. Turned out it was the major wiring harness from the cab back. After 5 days the dealer had be back on the road, granted they put more miles on it that I had. At the 7500 mile mark my wife hit the remote start to go get coffee. She came back in the house and said the truck is making a clicking sound so I turned it off. The dealer came and picked it up on a flatbed. After sitting at the dealer for 3 days they said it was a bent push rod, due to a broken retain in a lifter. So its been at the dealer for 3 weeks total now in the 5 months that I have owned it. Looking into Lemon Laws for our State now. I should have just kept the old Dodge....

MUSIC VIBRATIONS IN DOOR PANEL.
I have a 2020 LTZ Z71 SILVERADO. Beautiful truck! However i have noticed vibration noises in the front passenger door when playing the radio. I have even lightened the bass and still noticeable vibration noise in the passenger side front door panel. This is the only place where i have noticed. Did not notice in other door panels. I have a bose system so i should be able to enjoy good tunes with desired bass levels with no rattles or vibrations especially since this is a high end truck. Took it to the dealership and they went to other trucks of the same year make and model on the lot with the same issue with only in the front passenger side door so this sounds like a flaw somewhere. Maybe just cheap plastic! As of right now they are not able to solve the vibration noises until there is a fix for it. service adviser said that if more people complain about it then there would be a bulletin put out on it. so start complaining!!
