Used 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Consumer Reviews
2016 bought used with 6000 miles on it
So, I went from a 1999 that I bought new in 99, to a 2016. Without question the 2016 is quieter, more responsive and more comfortable. And mine does not shake. There is a lot I like about my new truck BUT, It does feel big compared to my 99 and it's so responsive in the steering that you just sneeze and your going in a different direction. Also, I can't seem to do better then 11 MPG and It's a 2WD. That, and I liked the storage, especially the overhead, better in my 99. With that said, I'm happy with my new Silverado. Great looks, comfort and the MyLink system is very cool. I also think that the 16 sits much better than the 14-15 model.

I'd Buy Another.
I bought the Silverado Work Truck new off the dealer about a year and a half ago-- 4.3L V6, white, as basic as they come. The only option on it is the tow package. I got a good deal because it was a lone leftover of the last model years stock, even though as far as I know it's identical to the next year model. It is everything you need it to be. There's plenty of power for daily driving, reasonable fuel economy, totally decent ride and handling for a leaf-sprung pickup. This truck has not let me down (unlike my previous vehicle from a competing domestic brand). Interior is dead simple but functional and even the base model has a couple of nice included features like cruise control that you wouldn't expect on this trim level, especially when you're still rolling up your windows by hand. I find these trucks a tad expensive for what they are but I can't argue with the fact that it delivers day in and day out and has never given me a single moment to doubt that it would. **UPDATE 9/2020: The truck keeps trucking. Not much to report. A leaking rear shock absorber was recently replaced under extended warranty. New Michelin tires were put on last week and you can feel the difference. Factory tires weren't that great and didn't last as long as one would hope. Overall still satisfied with my purchase.

Nothing like driving a Bow Tie
Insure you know about all the different rebates, incentives and financing options. Dealers, on a rare occasion, has additional dealer cash they can place towards your purchase. I've been driving Silverados over 20 yrs, and have never had any major issues or problems with my purchases.
