Let me start by saying I owned a 1991 Chevy 1500 that rarely broke in the 13 years I owned it. Other than shocks, gas line, and a Trans seal that cost $500 to replace. Everything else was basic maintenance until it died around 300k. This 2016 Silverado 6 speed trash had a condenser out at 85k ($1000 job. The front bearings were gone before 100k miles and I don’t tow anything. Now here I am told I was lucky to make it to 142,000 miles before my transmission blew. That job is going to cost me $4500 dollars for a rebuild. That’s the price of a used commuter car I could have for 5-10 years. Add in the pathetic AFM disaster fuel management I had to pay $400 to delete so I could save my engine and shut that stupid valve up under my truck. And what is left is a future money pit I can only assume. I will tell anyone out here. If you purchase a used 2016 Silverado or anything with around that year with the horrible torque converter issues, make sure you ask the seller if that has been fixed. And also see if the AFM has been disabled. If not I would not purchase the truck. This all happened to me in about 4.5 years of ownership. I’ll never own another Chevy again. I know other brand trucks that are newer cab have their issues but I’m going to go ahead and give someone else a chance.

Transmission blew at 126k miles. Don’t recommend this truck. Many other features that have been failing like the touch screen. Buyer beware

Was mostly pleased until the hood began to bubble after owning for less than 3 years. Upon visiting the dealership they recommended I call Chevrolet’s customer service since we had just passed the 36k mile mark. Long story short, Chevrolet will not cover the corrosion unless it rusts through within 5 years or 100k. I am very disappointed that they will not stand behind their product being so new. This was my first new vehicle purchase and probably my last. I’m also not one to post reviews but this is completely unacceptable in opinion. When purchasing a $40k+ vehicle, one would expect to not have to worry about rust for a long time... Only other negative is the EcoTec engine lags off the line.

This truck is awesome, bought certified pre owned. The ride is great, seats are comfortable, everything about the truck is the best.
