LOVE MY BU!!!
Ok, I just got my 2016 Malibu LT with the Driver Confidence package and the Technology package and I have to say I LOVE it! I had a 2010 Malibu LT2 and swore I would never buy another GM car again. This car is so far beyond the 2010 model it's crazy! I can't believe I bought another one but so far I'm happy I did. You really need to go see it in person and drive it. I bought both of my cars at Bob Steele Chevrolet. They are the best with sales and their service department always goes above and beyond to take care of me.

Good at times...
I bought this car brand new in October of 2016. It’s been a good car for as far as engine power and fuel economy. Electronics in this car is horrible. With only 10k miles, I had the Accelerator Pedal assembly Replaced because I was driving and the car displayed “ ENGINE REDUCED POWER” and bunch of dash lights appeared and car reduced speed from 50 to about 20 (I couldn’t accelerate so I just pulled over and had it towed to the dealer.) Then at 34k miles, the whole shifter assembly was replaced, the car displayed “Shift To Park” when I turned the car off and I know for a fact the was in park (if it wasn’t it would’ve rolled) and I had to wiggle the shifter for the car to relieve it’s in PARK. When I drove it to the dealer the next day it did again luckily and wouldn’t turn the car out of the ACC mode. Then at 60k miles, the third brake light had to be replaced because of a water leak which made its way into the trunk. All of these were replaced under warranty and the third brake light was a recall. Now let’s get to the good parts of this car, I’ve put 82k miles and I live Atlanta where I sit in traffic a lot. I still get atleast 30 combined MPG off 90 miles a day, 6 days a week and 40% of it is sitting in traffic. Brakes have atleast 45% left, Engine Air Filter, Cabin Air Filter, Brake Fluid, Transmission Fluid, Tires are the only things I’ve replaced. Good car but definitely had problems at first.

Water in trunk
I have 2016 Malibu LT, Mt View Chen Chattanooga tn. trunk leaks water. It starts accumulating somewhere around where extra battery is behind driver side tail light. Dealership did diagnostics, didnt find. Claimed it was cracked tail light on passenger side. Paid 174$ for USED tail light. Still finding water in spare tire area. Auto body shop done diagnostics, still didnt find. I know myself from laying in trunk, its not seal around trunk. Constantly sopping water out with towel. Sealant tape in whell well is cracking up. And constantly cleaning black mold around trunk lips. I hate GM! When finally noticed, missed warranty by one month, and one day. 25,000 miles when first noticed it. Contemplating fixing my FORD Ranger to drive and get rid of Malibu.

2016 malibu lt 2.0 ltr
I have a long term lease on this car. Everything is great except the stop start on the Eco option. I despise it. I hate sitting at a red light and when it turns green and I press on the gas pedal. The car jolts and it's as if someone is hitting me in the rear. Also the fuel economy on this car isn't that great. I got better gas mileage on a dodge challenger. Other than the fuel and Eco stop start the car is an excellent choice!!
