Such a bad car! Dont buy!! Had my car for 3 months bought used but only had 23k miles, my stabilatrak and engine light came on. Took it to the dealership and this car had a recall on it from GM where they switch the oil to synthetic oil for cracked pistons. And turns out mine had the cracked pistons, the dealership had my car for almost 2 months l. Got it back and my car felt funny and it has to go back and have the steering module replaced. Then also before this happened the back window was leaking as I went though the drive though and I took it in for them to fix it and it was fixed for a while but then started leaking again and they wouldn't do anything about it because it wasnt inder warrenty anymore! Worst car ever!!

My 2014 Odyssey was hit in the rear pretty bad a week ago. His name is Reggie, poor Reggie. It is in the body shop getting repaired. I have this 2016 Malibu Eco LTZ as a rental for two weeks from Hertz. To be fair, overall it is a nice car. Handles nicely like a German car - like our 2000 Jetta when it was new. The styling is nice, the technology is nice, the ride is sporty and fun to drive, the handling is sporty and fun to drive. HOWEVER, all the nice features fall apart because it is designed to completely stop and turn off when you come to a complete stop in order to save gas. It is a HORRIBLE and extremely ANNOYING feature!!!! Our Honda van has an eco mode that saves gas but it does not involve turning completely off at every single stop light. The eco mode of our van does not turn off to save gas but engages when the car is MOVING. This Malibu is a nightmare to drive because of this aggravating feature. We have begun making a game of it to keep from getting mad. If you turn the Air conditioning on (comfort mode not eco mode), the engine sorta turns off less. If you shift into Neutral as you stop at a stoplight, it keeps running. If you press on the gas lightly as you have your foot firmly down on the brake at a complete stop, it does not shut off. Even more of a JOKE, at a long stop light, the car will just UNEXPECTEDLY turns back on on its own if you are at a long long light. What a JOKE about saving gas! Thankfully, it is only a rental and I can turn it back into Hertz in two weeks. We have named the car Obama, as the president and his eco nut friends are probably very proud of themselves for inspiring such a junky car feature to save gas - eco nuts! Don’t buy this car if you are a car enthusiast or a enjoy driving like us, the shut off feature will drive you nuts unless you make it a game.

Please reconsider ever buying a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu, or probably any Malibu for that matter. My 2016 Malibu does NOT start. One day it just stopped starting, you have to try multiple times. The dash sometimes works and sometimes does not. The lights will flicker or the control panel for A/C and heat won't work at all. Chevrolet is NOT the same as it used to be. I may need to stop being a Chevy fan. Single Mom with a non-running car that I can't find the solution to fix or even trade in.

On this model do not get it. The manual seats have this funky ratcheting lever that raises the seat. I'm 6'2" tall and now my head hits the roof as I enter and leave the car besides my lower back is killing me due to non-existent lumbar support. The goofy auto stop feature sometimes kicks on and feels like someone just hit the rear bumper. Needs some major work. Already complained the very next business day to get the Tuff F.U. from the dealer and sales department. They don't care at all, but now since they do when my feet go numb because of their crappy seat and causes an accident, they will be held liable!
