GM never again

I leased my Malibu new in 2016. For the almost three years I had this sad excuse for a car, I experienced nothing but repairs, repairs, repairs, at least a dozen not counting several recalls. Those repairs included gear shift replacement oxygen sensor replacement, complete brake failure, piston replacement, knocking in the rear end and water leak into the trunk. Considering how much money I lost in wages due to a considerable low inventory of loaners at two GM dealerships, I would never consider this lemon as anything but one of the worst vehicles GM has ever made. I attempted to have GM buy back the car when it became such a safety hazzard due to loss of power issues, once with my four-year-old granddaughter in the car, but they wouldn't budge. However they would give me a nice break on a new downgraded Cruz. Like that was going to happen. I toughed it out until about four months from my lease expiration and then I opened the trunk and found my work supplies soaked AGAIN after it was supposedly repaired. I'd had enough and turned it in early despite the consequences. According to GMAC, I still owe a $1,300 balance (received one notice that the car had been sold and a list of unexplained charges tacked on), which they will never see even though they're knocking my great credit. Oddly enough, I've gotten several calls from GM dealerships offering to sell me another Malibu and forgiving my remaining lease "payments". No way. I have a Nissan Altima and I am quite happy. In closing, buyer beware when buying a Malibu of any kind. If you will do your research you will find there are 600 plus service bulletins on this car, many of which should be automatic recalls. GM has totally dropped the ball as far as I'm concerned

Worst car I've ever owned!Purchased brand new! was okay until the 30,000 mark. Took in for car not shutting off at 35,6000. Just over bumper to bumper warranty! They replaced shifter luckily I purchased extended warenty, that's what the dealer said, really? it's been regularly maintained every 5000 miles has died on me saying engine shutting down losing power and almost killing Me! suggesting I replace gas cap two weeks later died 8 times on a 40 minute trip! Dealer does nothing! I'm getting ready of this POS as soon as possible before it kills me and my family! Will never buy a Chevy again!!!

This ain't no Camry

Had the car for a long term rental. Thoroughly unimpressed. Really sluggish acceleration. Transmission not ver responsive especially in reverse. The car wallowed like an overloaded boat even with only two people in it. Decent interior room but not much more to say on a positive note. Suffered seriously in comparison with our Camry and Sonata.
