Used 2003 Chevrolet Malibu Consumer Reviews
Great value...
Purchased the car in 2004 with 9K miles. always taken care of the care by doing the maintenance myself. Car has had no major problems since i purchased. Just had my transmission oil and radiator flushed a replaced. Car still performs very well. Taken it on multiple trips a year and always average between 26-28 MPG. Have highly rated All season tires and always perform regular oil changes. Acceleration always begins to be a problem right before oil changes are necessary, but the car performs very well otherwise. Interior is differently not of high quality and things do brake but nothing a little lover and attention wont fix. "Update" the car had a total loss after breaks failed on the highway in January of 2016. Tried to fix myself but could determine the reason for the loss of breaks. Took it to the dealership to get it fixed but after 3,000 in repairs they could figure out why the breaks were not engaging Eventually traded it in for a new car. Lasted me 13 years befor it gave out. Overall it was a good car and I would have boughten it again.

Fun and comfortable for the family
My experience with my Malibu LS V6 has been wonderful. It is fun to drive and also gives our family a sporty look without the expensive price tag. My fifteen year old is looking forward to learning to drive in our Malibu.

my malibu
Alternater went out after 4 years...just after the warrenty expires, imagine that! Air conditioning went out right about the same time!
Lots of money in repairs
Purchased at decent price with rebates. Glad I bought the extended warranty from 36 month to 5 yr or 75k miles cause fuel pump quit= $900 , water pump-head gasket=$900 all happened under warranty. Now at 91k miles needs a complete new head. Stripped rocker arm bolt out of head and have no idea why. Will cost me $1,500. 48 year old woman drives this car easy, and I kept it serviced with care. This will turn me away and I will buy a foreign car made here in America next time.
A Lemon Disguised As A Car!!
Purchased w/ 111K, now has 122K. The ignition switch needs replacing (ignition cylinder/theft system issue), there's a major electric short/issue with ground(using foglights blows fuse for Sunroof). The Heating/Cooling does what it wants, AC doesn't stay on, nor does the Circulate Air feature. Antifreeze needs to be refilled about every 1.5mos (dealership found no leak). The vehicles has major braking issues in the rain...Need I go on? I bought this car by hearing of it's reliability...well approx 7mos & 11K later, I admit that I bought a lemon disguised as a car! I'm quite turned off by GM this is the 4th GM I've owned with Electrical issues.
