Impala LT-3.9L-Nice ride

I just purchased a 2006 Impala LT with the 3.9L engine. This car is suprisingly quiet and rather quick for a V6. The car gets up and goes and I've been able to reach 29MPG on long highway trips(if you keep it at 70). The LT package with the optional 3.9L engine also includes the 17" wheels and real dual exhaust. This package makes the car look rather nice. The interior is great and the auto start standard was a good idea. This car is superior when compared to Accord, Camry, Altima and Ford 500. The LT-3.9L can be purchased for under 24,000 which makes it a great value as well.

I wanted the biggest car I could get with lots of room and comfort for the lowest possible price. That's what I got. Good acceleration and passing power. But the engine seems to lug when turning the corner from a stop. What's up with that?

Our Impala gets 28 mpg

I was afraid of buying another American car. Last Pontiac gave us loads of trouble. We bought the 2006 Impala sedan new and have been pleasantly surprised. Thus far, it has been as reliable as the Honda Accord I drove in the past. I don't understand why they are giving this car such low fuel mileage ratings. Our car has the V6 engine and is 4- door sedan. We average 28 mpg. Recently someone backed out of parking lot same time as me and our bumpers hit. It just scratched a little paint on my bumper. All things considered, I would buy another American car, especially the Impala.

Probably the fastest car I've ever owned. I'm 60 years old and had plenty of cars! Love this sporty sedan! Not since 1961 have I had an Impala so nice!

Smooth quiet ride. Exceptional fuel milage. I test drove the Toyota Camry and Buick LaCrosse. Both nice cars, but Impala beats them both hands down. Thank you GM for finally producing a car a that can compete in every way shape and form with the Toyota Camry. Keep it up and you'll have a customer for life. We all knew you could do it, and you have with the all newly designed '06 Impala.
