Excellent vehicle. I have had it almost 2 years and have only had a couple of problems. The first was an electrical problem when the computer and vehicle would shut down. This occurred when I was around 11,000 miles. The local Chevy dealer couldn't figure the problem out. I took the car to another dealer and they replased the battery. No more electrical problems. I just passed 53,000 miles and all is good. I change the oil every 10,000 miles with Royal Purple oil and a K&N Oil filter. The only other problem is malfunctioning tire pressure sensors. They ave been replaced 3 times thus far. It's no big deal. I drive Chevy's at work and they have similar issues. Otherwise, I love it!

'06 SS Impala

I am disappointed with the gas mileage, in that it is driven carefully back and forth to work by my wife and she is only getting 17.5 miles per gallon. Also I have taken the car to two different dealers with a hard shifting transmission, lower gears, they tell me nothing is wrong. I have owned many cars in my lifetime and I know that this is not what GM was planning for an automatic transmission. The frontwheel drive can be a little bit hairy when in rapid acceleration.

Purchased new in '06. Rotors warped at about 15k mi. Was told by my mechanic this is typical. Grounded down and now have 36k mi. on car. Always used synthetic oil and always 1/2 to 1 quart short when I go in for a change. The tire sensors failed and were fixed under warranty; fixed the key fob too, only worked when next to the car (defeated purpose of remote start). The truck lid is heavy and difficult to open. Wish I bought the package with Bose stereo & heated outside mirrors. The car handles relatively well for front wheel drive. It is very fast and is excellent highway cruiser. Surprisingly decent in snow with factory tires.

First Car... Can't recommend enough

A little back history first, I'm 18 and i bought the car when I was 16 at 150,000 (it had been driven by an old couple so it was in pretty good shape) it had a check engine light on but it was because the remote start was broken, not a big deal though. Now i drove this car extremely hard, very recklessly at times and it had amazingly held up very well. It has 204,253 miles and its all from me. I've drifted this thing in dirt, snow, and gravel(yes with the foot emergency break) To be honest I've put this car through hell, ran from cops and angry neighbors trying to get my plate, went through and entire set of tires in 8,000 miles. This car is a blast. sounds surprisingly good with no muffler(yes i cut it off, it is very loud). List of things I've had to replace/work on: Battery, break pads and rotors, oil presser sensor(shop said $200 fix part was only $30 so i did it myself), tires, power steering leak(every now and then I just add power steering leak stop and it works well), did most of the oil changes and tire rotations myself, slight oil leak (just add oil leak stop liquids every oil change). Overalll great car basically i abused it so you don't have to. P.S. please be safe driving court isn't fun

Simply the Best Buy in a Sports Sedan

This car is simply the best automobile Chevrolet has offered for sale in a very, very long time, a grand example of sports sedan combined with high quality highway cruiser with its powerful engine, superior fit and finish, quiet cabin interior, awesome BOSE sound system and excellent gas mileage for its engine size (29.5 mpg at a steady 65 mph on the highway). The interior is superb with its high quality controls, gauge cluster, comfortable, quality leather seating, and general ambiance. Ergonomics are absolutely excellent. Handling, braking and transmission are top-notch. The tranny is especially smooth with effortless and imperceptible shifts. The exhaust note is exhilarating.
