Our daughter loves her "Honey" two years later..
Our daughter still loves her "Honey"! She really likes the great gas mileage, the driving ease, visibility, comfort, and now add reliability in snow and icy conditions. She now lives in Wisconsin. She keeps her bicycle carrier attached all the time because she is an avid rider and typically invites others to join her. Having four people with personal items for a day in the roads or trails is easy peasy for her. She likes the fact the car "talks to her" regarding maintenance reminders and does a good job of taking care of routine maintenance issues. So far that and getting a new set of tires have been her only expenses. We also like the car when we are with her.

Gutless gashog
Car has no power, gets around 20 mpg. We use it as little as possible and will be trading it in soon.

Navigation interface problems on older phones
Be prepared to buy a better phone if you want the Map Navigation to display and have good sound on the directions. iPhone 5 has a volume control problem and my directions are drowned out by the radio or music. iPhone7 no problem at all--works perfectly. Android rebel phone works well on the nav. Sometimes the car need to be shut off and phone restarted when it doesnt connect. This happens 1 out of 7 car starts.

Hard on the Butt
Before you buy, check out the front seats more carefully. We got Premier package with leather seats. The seats are not that comfortable and I still catch grief from my wife for getting rid of her 14 year old Lexus RX330. I recently thought about trading the car and getting a Subaru with a better ride and seats. Overall, I really like the Equinox and all the bells and whistles. I'm a retired operation test pilot and have tried to contact the Equinox design engineers about improving this car. So far no technical engineer has contacted me. They did sent me a $200 gift certificate which I used to buy roof cross rails. With softer and more plush seats, this would be a great car.
