If you love Corvettes
The C8is my 4th Corvette. It is by far the best Corvette ever produced. Plenty of room, turns on a dime. The most composed sports car I have ever driven and I have driven most of them. I bought this car without a rest drive and after owning and driving it my opinion is better than I ever thought it could be.. unbelievable. It took me 13 months and 22 days to receive the car as it needed to be ordered and there is a waiting list. You can check out my dealer review elsewhere on Edmunds. I highly recommend this car.

2022 EHL metallic blue convertible perf exhaust
I'm 6'5", this is the first Corvette I fit in safely. The hard top convertible provides more height clearance, but I also fit in the coupe. What an amazing car for the money, it is truely unbelievable. I'm very comfortable in it and drove it from Florida to Oregon in 4 days. Cruising at 80 to 85 in V4 mode I was averaging 32mpg. I thought it was going to cost me dearly at the pump, but I was shocked how it performed at the pump. I live on the coast in Oregon, and Hwy 101 is my primary route. The C8 is a dream to drive on what seems to be an ideal road course daily. I love the different driving modes, they are different enough it's very noticeable. The C8 is extremely versatile from cruising economy, to sophisticated luxury, to race car. "Z" mode is just a thumb tap away, and when I initiate it I feel like I'm a professional driver in a supercar making perfect shifts. The smile on my face that comes from that is consistent, and it never gets old for me. GM designed it so I am able to perform general maintenance which I love to do myself. The C8 is 100% supercar to me. GM nailed the C8 design, I couldn't be happier with the purchase of this amazing American supercar.

First Time Corvette Owner-
Prior to the 2020 clean-sheet redesign of the C8, I had no real desire to get a Corvette. I suppose I’m a ‘capture’ buyer with that background. Aside from the difficulties in actually ordering and buying one of these cars at or below MSRP, this is a fantastic car.

Transmition issues GM hasnt resloved
I have a 2023 Corvette, and i do love the car! but a car is worthless if its not reliable. GM is selling these cars at a premium with market value adjustments knowing there is a Transmission issue with these vehicles! they simply don't care and will throw parts at it later... that is a problem and should be addressed at a Corporate level.

is this thing for real?
no one is going to read this, this thing has won enough awards by now that if you're on Edmunds reading about it, you just crawled from a cave. chevy engineers decided to build the fist new v8 they have built in 50y and they take a Ferrari engine apart to start the journey (aim high why dont ya). we now have the most potent naturally aspirated v8 IN THE WORLD, in a mid engine layout, paired with an exhaust that truly makes this engine sing. THE SOUNDS ARE ECSTASY. not to mention this interior is nicer than some mercedes I have owned. best vehicle I have ever owned, truly otherworldly perfomance but in general just a perfect package all around- speed, sound, tech, comfort, interior.

Cranky shifts
This is my eight Corvette. Picked up at Bowling Green. By the the time I got to Nashville, I knew something was wrong with the transmission. At 900 miles , GM agreed to replace it. Pretty aggravating to park for a month. GM can do better. Apparently , it sounds like they haven"t mastered the transmission issue.

Chevrolet doesn't make the parts.
My 2023 Chevrolet Corvette is in the shop for almost 3 months. Chevrolet doesn't have the headlights for my C8 and they can't make them. At this point they can't give me a date, I'm still paying the monthly payment of my car and I don't know when I''ll have it back.

Super Cool!!!
Fabulous!! I have owned many new sports cars and absolutely nothing comes close to my 23 Corvette. Great handling. super performance and superior design only starts to explain why this car is super cool. In addition, the Dealership and the Chevrolet Company both treat me with an appreciation both in the form of gifts and human interactions.

A exotic sports car at a non exotic price
I’ve owned a lot of different sports cars over the years. Like a 05 Ford GT. 2020 Jaguar F type SVR. Just to name the big ones. But I must say owning a C8 convertible is by far the most fun and safe car to own. It’s a home run by GM. It took 67 years to bring to market. But what a first class sports car they produced.

Unbelievable
First time owner of a vette, what can I say WOW. Im 6ft 4 and what a comfortable ride, never expected that. Performance is off the chart. Looking forward to getting familiar with the handling and performance.
my toy
This car is everything I expected in an American made sports car. The ride is excellent and the cornering is absolutely great . The Bose sound system is the best for your listening pleasure . I chose the 2 LT options package for the best value for the money and added the Z51 option for the increased cooling and brake options available . I also chose the Coupe to be able to see the mid engine location.

Not worth the hype!
I have owned a C-6, a c-7, and now 2024 C-8. I would take back my C-7 over the C-8 any day. The C-8 has practically no storage room inside. Even though there are 2 trunks, there is little table storage space. Thus car is advertised as having plenty of trunk space with the ability to be able to carry up to 2 golf bags. I challenge anyone to put one golf bag in it. Not going to happen. And worst is the gas mileage. This car gets on average 25% by less miles per gallon than my previous ones. Not worth it.

MQQNLITE OASIS
2023 HTC - a different animal all together. Eight one owned, last was 2017 Z06/Z07 convertible. Loved them all, each getting better with time. The driving experience is different. This was the most noticeable experience change. The car is user friendly, taunts you to explore its boundaries. Extremely confident driver feel and comfortable. Not the same torque of the Z06, hold on it’s going to be a hell of a ride. More linear and gentlemen like. Both challenging you, but in different ways. The Z51 package adds a bit to the equation. Just don’t test drive one, you’ll want to own it. Kudos to Corvette and Chevrolet. If you’re a Corvette fan you’ll want one, if not try you may be pleasantly surprised.

Too good to be true
Absolutely love this car. Bought it new and it was a steal for the money. 2LT with Z51 performance package and the front lift. The car drives like a dream and turns heads.
Reliability is the real concern
Yes, the Corvette C8 is an amazing car, and easily deserves all the accolades it has garnered. I have now owned two of them, a 2023 and a 2024. Why? Because GM bought back my 2023. My 2023 C8 had an alarm issue. Randomly, when the car was locked, the alarm would go off for no reason, My dealer worked with GM for nearly ten months trying to figure out why this was happening. They never could resolve the issue so, after ten months, they offered to buy back the car and have me order a new 2024 to replace it. I now have my 2024 for a few months. So far it's gone through one recall for seatbelt retractors, one TSB for improperly cut interior carpet, one repair for improperly aligned headlights … which damaged the paint … and one repair for an oil leak. The oil leak turned out to be the head gasket, caused by improperly torqued bolts. Great car, and one I love driving. GM got just about everything right on this car, but it is still a GM production line car. Many owners report miles of trouble free driving, but too many have experienced a variety of issues that can range from annoying to catastrophic. I'll be keeping my 2024, because I really love this car, but any more significant issues will be the end of my Corvette experience.

Love my new C8
This is my third Corvette, C6, C7, and a new C8. The C8 is so far ahead in every way than the older models. Ride, seat comfort, power, and technology. I’ve only had it for a few days and haven’t gone that far, or driven it that fast during break in. However, this car puts a smile on my face each time I’ve used it. It is a 2LT with the Z51 package, magnetic ride control, front lift with memory, upgraded seats, and chrome wheels (options). I am very happy with the purchase!

Great car so far but not issue free.
The top item is that the car is wonderful to drive. It’s the second Corvette I’ve owned and the fourth or fifth I’ve driven. Performance is more than remotely usable on the street and more than most drivers (myself included) could ever hope to extract on the track. Steering is precise and intuitive, brake feel is remarkable, the transmission is almost automatic transmission smooth while having better shift programming than any automatic I’ve ever driven and much faster shifts. It’s much smoother than the DCG in an AMG GT or an Alfa 4C. It is also a reasonably comfortable car unless you’re, well, fat. Even then it’s still pretty comfortable. The most significant barrier to comfort for touring is on the passenger side, where the ridge containing the HVAC controls forms an actual barrier between the passenger and their natural arm rest. The fighter cockpit design is flattering for the driver but leaves the passenger feeling like a second class citizen in a way competitors do not. I have not owned it long enough to comment on reliability. The interior feels high quality. The leather is pleasant to the touch and there are alcantara coverings in a lot of low touch places. Aluminum trim is plentiful, buttons feel solid, and everything is well laid out for the driver. The Corvette finally has an interior that feels competitive with other vehicles in this price range. Safety features are excellent. The A pillars are narrow enough to be unobtrusive, a basic feature that many modern vehicles fail at. The rear view camera mirror is an innovation that offers a significantly better field of view than optical mirrors and is particularly useful on a mid engine vehicle, where rearward visibility is often very poor to nonexistent. The heads up display provides pertinent information to the driver without necessitating taking your eyes off the road. In short, the Corvette’s “see and avoid” capabilities are, surprisingly, better than many conventional vehicles that don’t have the C8’s inherent mid-engine disadvantage. Technology is difficult to review. The actual car part of the technology is magnificent, from the magnetorheological suspension to the slick dual-clutch sequential manual gearbox to the traction management system to the performance recorder. All are impressive. Where the tech falls flat is the basics one would expect from any car. The infotainment stack, revised for 2024, is a disaster. In-car navigation, as of a week after purchase, doesn’t work. It informs me that I need to download maps, but when connected to WiFi it (erroneously) informs me that there is no internet connection. The myChevrolet app both requests that I sign in every time I start the car but also fails to sign in with an unexplained error every time I attempt to sign in. The privacy settings don’t allow you to completely opt out of sending location information to Google (which seems like a particularly strange omission given that navigation doesn’t seem to work). CarPlay is available and does work but, inexplicably, cannot be made to consume the full screen, effectively turning the 8 inch display into a six inch display. Hopefully over-the-air updates will fix this, but it isn’t at all encouraging that I’m writing this review about the 2024 model in January of 2025 and these issues persist. Value is good. Traditionally there have been more excuses to be made in evaluating the Corvette, such as “Nothing is faster for the money but the interior is poor for the money” or similar. Previous Corvettes I have driven could probably be described as “fast but numb”. This new Corvette is significantly more expensive relative to the average vehicle than previous models have been, but as a performance car it now feels much less compromised. It’s not fast but cheap, it’s fast and good value. I hope the infotainment stack issues can be resolved, because it’s a fantastic performance machine.

Possible Lemon
Did research before purchase and found nothing negative. Since my purchase in Aug. 2024, needed new bumper cover and body shop ordered approximately 5 under the VIN and none of them fit!!!! Highly unusual! Finally found one after about a month and a half of searching on a week repair. Afterwords, purchased lift system forgot one of my learned speed bumps, bottomed out and caused damaged to bottom of car, hard top convertible started leaking air badly and took 2 visits to the dealership to repair. Vehicle remote start worked fine at purchase, now literally have be about 25 feet away and no further to remote start. Seat belts not retracting like suppose to. Can have key in car and the vehicle doesn’t recognize it being present. All this on a 2024 Stingray purchased with only 3 miles. Chevy so far goodwill? 1000 points ($100)!!! What a slap in the face of a disabled veteran who is fortunate enough to purchase his dream car thru blood, sweat, and tears. Worse purchase so far in my 52 yrs of life. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying foreign if you want a supercar. Oh didn’t I mention it burns oil quite fast and going to mention it when I go in for my seatbelt issue. Very, very disappointed in Chevy and really don’t feel to safe driving a car in which the dimensions seem to be off. Well let me get ready to take in to the dealer this morning for 3-4 visit for warranty repair in under one year of ownership!

Awesome Experience
The excitement you get from driving this vehicle is like no other I have ever experienced. The feel of the tight controls. The raw power when you want it. The subtle mannerisms when you are enjoying a relaxing cruise. This vehicle has been proving it is the best that we have ever seen or imagined to come to us from a U.S. Auto manufacturer. Jump at any opportunity to ride in or if possible, drive this Car. Hats off to you GM for creating this masterpiece!!!

I have owned 29 Vettes, everything from C2 C8. Loved my C6 Z06 great car. But this 24' C8 Z06/Z07 HTC. this is another world for Corvette. This has to be the greatest to date period! Yes the ZR1 id coming and I'm on list BUT, probably not going to jump. Why, because I know we will rarely ever use any of these cars to there power capacity, lets face it its bragging rights lol. This Z06 has ALL THE POWER you will EVER need or want to use. Track it, street daily no problem. Sound is intoxicating as the power. just a great Vette, thank you Tadge.

Upgrade so worth it
Ordered my very first Corvette in 2020 as a 3LT C8 Coup. Spent weeks agonizing over every detail, finally submitting my build a few days before my bday in November and sealing the deal with my down payment on my bday. I was told 12 months at minimum to delivery, it arrived in August and missing a few cosmetic pieces, but one huge mechanical in that it didn't have the lift. I live in a part of Canada where roadwork season is April to November and pothole season is always. Also my driveway is a hill, so missing the lift was a big deal for me and made taking the car out a pain. Despite this I loved that car and never saw myself giving it up. It was loads of fun to drive and had more power than a daily driver needes, but it was all mine and I grew up on speed. Then one Friday in August I got a text message from the Chevy salesman who sold me my C8, they were getting an e-ray and they knew it was the car I'd actually wanted, but now with terminal cancer never expected to get. The spec sheet arrived a few hours later, riptide metallic blue, 2LZ, coup, z performance pack, mag ride, and a lift! Jumped at the chance and haven't regretted it for a second. The e-ray is so much faster than the C8 it's scary at times. I've managed a launch assist 0-60 in 2.2 seconds without even trying (Ihave taken the C8 owners school, and I do have track time behind me). Power to road transfer with the electric front is incredible. I've not once spun the rears, unlike my friends with z06s. It's a hybrid for performance reasons only, so don't expect that much better fuel economy. The accelation is second to none, braking smooth and engine noise on par with my C8, if not a bit quiter. In stealth mode it's so quiet no one hears it coming. The lift is a dream come true and getting out of the driveway a breeze. Better still the memory feature is perfect for reminding me of a few spots in town to slow down for, so it can activate. It's also a great pothole reminder. I've not had any issues, other than the doors arrived not centered properly and take a bit to close, but that will be fixed on the spring service since I only had it for three weeks before it had to go to sleep for winter. It wasn't the perfect build, the interior is black and tan, I'd much have preferred black, or black with blue stitching, but it's a sacrifice I was willing to make. I've not gotten into the dyno system, or much of the eray tech side, but will when I attend the eray owners school. Overall very happy with the car and can't wait for spring.

So far I have only but 100 miles on the car for the first month, I don't really drive that much being retired. But I traded in my 1999 996 Porsche that was not as advanced in driver comfort as is the Vet. will know better in a few of months Cheers

I previously owned a 2021 C8 Stingray 3LT and while interior fit is close to the Z06, performance and sound is noticeably different. The wider body is also something that easily distinguishes the two.

Chevrolet has really upped their game with the new hard top convertible Corvette!!!! I could not recommend this car for somebody in the market more! I’ve had 30 Corvettes, since I’m 16 years old… Going on 50 in this 23 Corvette is the best yet!

Awesome car! So fast! Well built. I get so many compliments on it. Just get one! Get the z51 package and the Jake floor Matt’s. Be sure to learn all the secret buttons for go faster mode! The new version of this is a great addition to. I’m going to make this one of the first and last ones for my collection of the future of the series and the first of the year as I have been told so many people have done with the game for a while so far so I can get a little better at it with this one of these things and the other one will be a great addition too for a game that I will be playing in the future as well for sure as it will.
