Performance deal of a lifetime
I used to be a hot rodder back in the late 60's early 70's and thought those days would never return. How wrong I was. The American push-rod V8 is back big time only better. That's an understatement. This car has everything a preformance minded regular guy could hope for. The power & torque is incredible. The sound is old school. The handling is definitely state of the art. Driving this car is something I look forward to every day. I was suprised at the comfort level sitting in this car. I got the Z51 handling option & highly reccomend it. This car is glued to the road. It is the best Corvette yet. The ride is suprisingly comfortable for this type of vehicle. I can't wait for spring!!
2005 Corvette Convertible, Z51, 6 sp
It took me 40 years to finally buy the Corvette I promised myself in college. It is actually better than I expected. It is a joy to drive, on both winding back roads and interstates. I've driven it from Maine to Tennessee with nothing but great experiences. From a performance standpoint, it is the fastest thing I've ever driven, and it will be at least another 12,000 miles before I'm really able to use all 400 hp comfortably. The convertible top is perfect. Tight and quiet when up, and easy to put down. At 120 with the top up you can talk and hear the radio. And it insulates very well. No problems with air conditioning in the summer (and my top is black)

Fun, fast, fairly cheap
I bought this for the wife and it's a great everyday driver. She gets better gas mileage than her SUV. It turns heads wherever you go and hauls the mail. I'm a pretty good driver, and I could never push this car to its limit. It's definitely not the most practical car a guy could buy, but it's a great third car. Although I like the semi-exclusivity of the car, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a high performance convertible.
Maybe God saved me
You better know what you want. If you know high performance cars ,they usually have run problems. Not this car. I was cruising at 120 mph and 2400 rpm. For at least 10 minutes. It meant nothing to this car. I have had 7 vettes all convertible and this is the best. Its a stick a spins the wheels in the first 4 gears. The God part is i was sitting at a light ,the ground was slightly wet and my traction control alarm went off. It was doing this on and off for 6 weeks. But would reset itself. I let off of the clutch and gave it little gas. The car did 3 three donuts then the motor shut off. I thank God i did not hit someone. I told the dealer and they played stupid. I read something like this in another thread. Anybody else this happen to?
