I have owned sports cars since I was 18 but never a vette ! 280 and 350 Z's several mr2 's miata's. Trans am's, Firebirds and others. The vette is different !It just gets attention. Ive only had it just over 2 weeks, but more people have came up to me than any car Ive owned Still in my learning curve on the driving but getting there quick.

Go ahead, buy one!
One of the finest vehicles I have ever owned. Blindingly fast, comfortable to drive every day and immediately recognizable. It drives like a commuter (overall 22 mpg - from 400 HP???) and performs like an exotic. Mine is silver (exterior) and black leather (interior). Loaded with all the goodies (you've got to get the Z51 handling pkg & the Bose stereo). Have had it for about 6 months/5K miles and it has been extremely reliable. I did purchase a GM/Vette extended warranty, just in case (got a great deal on it too). I have the automatic (5spd) and the only thing I would have done differently would have been to get the 6 spd. manual.

I waited 33 Years
Can I just say I love this car? I've always been a car connoisseur and have always wanted a Vette. The first year I couldn't get out of the car without looking back at it in astonishment about how good looking it is. The car rides amazingly smooth even with the Z- 51 suspension. The acceleration is amazingly fast and smooth. This car is refined beyond what most people would think. It's only downfall is that it's sold by Chevy dealers and they don't know how to treat Corvette owners.
Awesome Car
The 2005 C6 is one awesome machine. The acceleration and handling is superior to prior models. I know this because I have owned a 1986, 1993, 1999, 2001, and now a 2005 convertible with a 6 speed. I love it. Chevrolet really has engineered a great car.
My Vette
I always wanted one. Had a 1959 at one time and loved it. This one came up for sale by friend and in perfect shape with low milage[10,000] at the time. I lovbe it still even though I need to sell it with only 11750 miles on it.
