Beyond Impressed

I bought this car during the 0% craze last year (was building a 600hp+ Mustang) but ditched that project after 10 minutes of seat time in the Z06. Hands down the most enjoyable ride I've ever taken. The black one I tried driving off the lot with crapped on me before out of dealer's sight, but the Quicksilver has held up very well and the only problem is some infamous GM paint (runs by the lower door panels), a creak here and there in the interior, and a fuel sensor gauge (fixed once, living with it now) that likes to die out. Overall performance and looks the car gets a 10/10, and I'd score it higher but might be a bit trite. Everyone deserves a Z06.

I have owned this car for over 1 year and 10,000 miles. This is my 2nd Corvette and 8th Sports Car. There is very little on the road that can keep up with the Z06.. stock vs. stock. The newer vipers and porsche turbos are it... under $100K. Mine is a daily driver, and is very comfortable even during rush hour. Absolutely no problems with the car... and I have not babied it. This is simply one very awesome, affordable, easy to drive rocket.

This car is without a doubt the best bang for the buck sports car on the market today, it can handle just about anything you can throw at it and keeps asking for more.

Car is smooth, quick and comfortable. Build quality is poor and not consistent. Inspect your car very well before taking delivery. Some cars fit together better than others, paint quality varies by color and production day. Panel fit can be poor. Body panel smoothness varies car to car. Buy from a place with many Z's to pick from and compare against each other. C6 promising to have better fit and finish. I will not be hard to improve.

WOW! What a car! I moved up from a Grand Prix GTX and have been MIGHTILY impressed with this "race" car! Incredible speed that still scares me at times, VERY comfortable - even on an 800 mile trip back and forth from Tallahassee to Indiana - and a real joy to drive, even in daily traffic. I wouldn't recommend the 6 speed for those who have to sit in highway traffic for hours at a time (Atlanta) but it is perfect for my daily 15 minute drive back and forth to work. I STILL get comments on the Zo6 even a year and a half after purchase! It's amazing how much more peeps will pay attention to you when you drive a corvette! Go for it, you only live once!

This car is a heartpounding thrill ride from neckbreaking start to right now stopI I own several sports cars; absolutely none better performing for the money. The Z06 Corvette would be a bargain @ $70,000.00 and sells for much less. interior appointments are not as "leathery" as I would like but the Z06 makes this up in performance. I would classify this Vette as pound for pound the best and cheapest performance car in the world. If you would like to compare this car to another expect to pay 80 to 150 k to get equivalent performance!

Waited quite a few years to finally purchase a Vette and have not regretted it at all. This car is a lot of fun. Rides much nicer than expected.

I recently purchased a 2003 Z06 and what a ride! I love it. It has the best of both worlds, gas mileage and horsepower. I wish the seats were more comfortable and the sound system was better. I would have thought that in a car of this quality an mp3 player would be a standard option. Other than that, I love to drive the car and really enjoy the speed of these awesome machines. All I can say is that it is an incredible ride and I will never not own one again.

This car has been my dream car for years. This Corvette still today blows most of every thing off the road. And it can be an everyday driver, without the hassle of keeping it revved up to run.

I must admit that this car was added to our garage to get me out of our 2002 Camaro SS that was originally purchased for my wife. I loved the LS1 F-body car so much and it got such great gas mileage that I totally forgot about my own 2001 F150 pickup and drove the Camaro everywhere. The wife wanted her car back and new I have always dreamed of owning a Corvette. Needless to say she made the appointment to go look at the car without me knowing what we were going to go look at, let alone that we were going to a car dealership. I drove the Z06 home the next day with a smile that I have been unable to erase since that day.

Car is great. Spend your time looking around at the lots or opt for the museum delivery. Build quality varies from car to car. Look at body panel, and door fit, they are not consistant so if your picky look for a good one. I wish somebody told me. Paint and body panel straightness is the same, look for a good one. If you are not picky on fit and finish don't worry about it the car is just awesome.

The Z06 is an outstanding vehicle. Traded a 2001 corvette coupe in for it - there is no comparison - the Z06 is more powerful, more responsive and a lot more fun to drive.

I have owned several vehicles ranging from 315 to 425 horse power. I loved a couple in spite of their poor gas mileage, high maintenance, and uncomfortable ride. So, the Z06 was love at first ride. It will out perform the 425HP cars I have owned. The ride is very comfortable and it gets a realistic 25-28 mpg on the highway. I have had it to 160 mph, which it achieved very easily on a short closed track and yet it sits very contently in stop and go traffic. .

Being a long time sports car enthusiast I finally bought a Corvette. The performance package is why I chose the Z06. The car handles like it's on rails until you get to 135 mph. Maybe I am used racing front wheel drives, but the steering should be tighter at high speed than it is. The 1st to 4th shift is annoying but does save gas.

Powerful and smooth, this is the best daily driver supercar you can buy. It not only offers 405 HP with plenty of low end torque for fast starts, but also 1+ g cornering, active handling, enormous tires that put power to the pavement, and excellent brakes. No maintenance or warranty issues have come up. I had feared that the Z06's press calling the car something designed "for the extreme enthusiast" meant it would be stiff and harsh, and uncomfortable for long trips. Thankfully this is not true. Despite it's race-ready design, it's a comfortable daily driver that will allow you to put yourself wherever you desire on the road.

After months of searching, I found a gem: a dealer owned 2003 Z06 with just 5300 miles. It remains all original and is lots of fun to drive. With all the newer models on the road, this one still gets attention due to its styling and somewhat rare body style. No repairs except replacing one headlight motor gear.

I would say the Corvette ZO6 is way cooler and faster than a viper. If you like muscle cars than you should buy a corvette.

This is my second C5 vette. The performance is simply astonishing - yet the car is very civilized. I've shopped for a used viper - but found it not to be a car that you can drive to work. Z06 fits this category nicely - excellent dayly driver + screaming performance
