Used 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Consumer Reviews
The Last American Sports Car
Amid a host Italian and New Jersey jokes I bought by 98 camaro as a step up from my 93 Eagle Talon. 106,00 miles and 4 1/2 years later and I can only sing the praises of this vehicle. The styling is fantastic and GM did it without a bunch of plastic glued to the doors. The v6 200 horse engine has more power than most cars on the road today - and while it won't compare off the line to it's bigger engined brothers the Z28 and SS it can easily handle speeds of 80 and higher on the highway and still get 30+ miles to the gallon. This car hugs corners like nothing I've ever driven. I opted for the v6 200 horse only because of insurance costs.
The most fun I've had in years
I have owned my 1998 Red Camaro, with it's V-8 and T-Tops for about 18 months. But in that time my 2 teenage kids have decided that I am too cool. That for a single parent, made buying this car worthwhile. It's performance is awesome. I have pushed it up to 140 mph and felt safe. It corners great and it looks great. If a person wanted to look and feel good, get one!

I've been spoiled
Bought this car new with 11 miles, now I have 63,000. I still love it. The only problem is the cassette player doesnt work (so what). I still get complements on it, Gas mileage is pretty good for a car with this performance. It's just as comfortable on the road as my friends Corolla or my girlfriends Accord. Why this car was discontinued and replaced with the SSR is beyond me. I've been shopping for a new car, but nothing tops my SS, so I keep my money
Last GM Muscle
This car is a bargain, even when new. The only reason they didn't sell is because GM didn't put any marketing effort into them for the last 4 years. However, what they lacked in marketing was made up by engineering- the LS-1 engine is sweet and efficient, a real sleeper. Handling and braking are awesome. This car is 95% Vette at 1/2 the price. I've had no problems with the car. Even the t-tops don't leak like in older GM models. The only complaint I have is minor- the plastic interior panels scratch easily. All car reviews show no performance improvement with the SS- save your $
The Best
Awesome car, kills the Mustang (even the GT) every time!!!
