Impressive
I previously owned a 2018 GMC Terrain with the 1.5L Turbocharged 4 cylinder, I honestly can't express how much I hated that engine because it had a MASSIVE turbo lag. After addressing it with local dealers, and most of them dismissing my concerns, except one saying it was due to the way you drive and the vehicle is getting used to that...okay but I had 44,000km on the odometer. Anyways this review is about the BLAZER. I took this thing for a test drive and instantly fell in love. I passed on a Terrain Denali for this thing, why? Because the damn V6 provides me with over 300HP. I can merge with a breeze, as soon as I hit the accelerator, the blazer responds with adequate power. I feel comfortable driving around the city, and on the highway with the new Blazer. The only downside is I feel like at the price point, it really is missing a lot of safety features. Was it a deal breaker for me? No. But Lane Keep Assist, Collision Avoidance, Adaptive Cruise are MUSTS, and GM really needs to start adding that across the entire line up. The seats are pretty comfortable, and the cabin is rather welcoming, lots of space for traveling with friends and family, and they love that you can recline, and move the seat back and forth for more leg room. My Blazer is equipped with the Continental ContiCrossContact tires, and even though they are all seasons I find it handles confidently in all weather conditions. I am getting lots of looks when I am driving around, I am sure people are caught off guard initially with the name badge "blazer" especially with the new look. so far I am super happy with my purchase, the gas mileage has been pretty reasonable as well considering how much fun I have been having driving it around, even sometimes utilizing the AWD Sports Mode haha. Take one for a drive yourself, and see what the Blazer is really all about.
Very Impressive, Very Happy with my purchase
Always been a Chevy Guy. Having said that, prior to purchasing my Chevrolet Blazer RS, I did test drive a number of other brand vehicles in the Blazer target market. Most notably the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Acura RDX A Spec, Range Rover, and Jaguar F Pace. All these vehicles were comparatively priced between $42,000 & $48000 and in my opinion the Blazer RS came out on top when you consider warranty, operating cost, workmanship, and finally ride & handling. I walked out the door with my Blazer RS all costs figured in $ 41500.00 with an extended warranty. You will be impressed with the Chevy Blazer and oh by the way the only option not on my blazer is the sun roof. So in response to the other reviews, yes you do have to buy the upgraded model Blazer if you only go in on the base of course your not going to get all the tech upgrades as you want with a base model of any other manufacture, you might as well purchase an top of the line Equinox. Update as of July 2022, still impressed with my Blazer. The only issue so far is the AC Condenser quit. Not very happy such an expensive part went bad 1 month after the 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty expired. Even with my extended warranty with ASI and GM loyalty points it ended up me paying $800 for the repair. Total cost $1519 for the repair. I have noted that there may be a few issues with the AC system with the Blazer since 2019 on reviewing reviews in regard to the AC. Chevy may want to look into this?

Sporty looking Premium
Very satisfied with what I bought. Getting a lot of compliments on it's looks. Drives well steering is a little tight but that may have something to do with the way it reacts if you start to cross over the line in a road. It'll automatically steer you back into the lane. There was a learning curve with all the safety additions it has but after I learned there was no problem. It's a pleasure to drive in the city or in the mountains plenty of pep if needed. Interior is neat and a clean look.

The Chevy Blazer is a smooth riding vehicle that offers supreme comfort. The RS model is super sleek and the 9-speed transmission with 305 horsepower is exhilarating.

Chevy got it Right
Wow- the premier trim includes lots of comfort features like heated and cooled leather seats. It is quick, quiet and responsive to drive. If you add the convince package for top of the line safety, like adaptive cruise and auto breaking and you have a vehicle that competes with top of the line luxury models. While a little pricy for a Chevy look past the label and you can’t go wrong.

Shame on Chev for choosing style over safety
Our Blazer was bought new in Nov. 2018. It has a little over 22,000. No major issues so far. It's relatively comfortable whether city or highway driving. The 2.5 liter four cruises nicely, although is a bit noisy under hard acceleration. Wind noise is low but depending on the road surface cabin noise can get intense. The information screen is easy to read and navigate. I like the overall handling of the vehicle on the highway and in city traffic. My 5'4" wife finds the seating position to be too low. She sits on a two-inch cushion whether driving or in the passenger seat. My main criticism of the Blazer is that Chev chose style over safety. The headlights are among the worse I have ever had. I rate them poor & unacceptable in most night driving situations. The factory backup lights are not effective in really dark areas. I upgraded the bulbs to a much brighter LED variety that helps a bit. But they really should be a little larger to put more light out back. The real problem is in the frontal lighting. The headlights are TERRIBLE. First, they're mounted FAR TOO LOW to cast a good beam of light. Their location is better suited for fog lights. Secondly, there is NO side-to-side lighting, either from the lights themselves or reflective from their housing. This makes a turn onto a dark street chancy as there is no light cast to the sides to assist in making a turn safely. I've had the lights adjusted three times so far without any improvement. Aftermarket lights are not available. It's a shame Chev chose style over function (and safety). The car is reasonably quiet, rides and handles well, has decent fuel mileage, and is pretty comfortable. But the lack of good quality lighting is a deal buster for me. Put simply, this is my last Blazer till Chev improves the nighttime safety.

Failed Acceleration System at 9000 miles
My 2019 Chevy Blazer’s gas pedal went out at 9400 miles. The reduced engine light came on and the car stalled. The Chevy dealer repaired it and 25 days later and at 10040 miles the acceleration sensor went out. Again the car went into reduced engine power and stalled. The infotainment system also blacks out and turns on and off whenever it decides. I have a brand new lemon with 10000 miles!
Worst car I have ever owned
At 60000 miles it developed an odd noise at low speed. Three dealers cannot fix it and even though I have the extended warranty, I am out over $3000 for warranty exclusions. I complained to GM but got nothing.

Not a huge Chevy fan but it won me over
Looked, and drove at so many can't list them all, but a few, high end Mercedes GLC, BMW X3, Audi Q5, low end Honda Passport, Kia Sorrento, Subaru Outback, Toyoya Highlander. Why did I choose the Blazer, well after reading before driving I wanted the Passport, I am 6'2", 225lbs, not even close in the Passport, easy fit in the Blazer. Other reasons V6, plenty of power, quiet ride, got the comfort and convenience package, nice looking exterior, interior a little plain but still very nice. Others reasons why I did not get the Passport other than I did not fit, why no center console, just those little fold down armrests, transmission was busy, and the price. Chevy dealer discount $2600, and a GM rebate $6000, MSRP $37,600- $8,500= $29,100. Here's another one, magazine chose the Passport over the Blazer, one of the reasons, padding on interior surfaces 100% not true, go look for yourself. Only reason why not 5 stars, and this goes a every 2019, the AC, there is a new refrigerant for all 2019's, EPA mandated all AC's suffer from this new product.
Starting problem
Starting problem on my 2019 blazer rs twice the blazer wouldn't start..dealer and GM can't find the problem.i can't trust that my blazer won't do it again.dealer says GM can't find the problem,it will happen again,I'm done with GM.

Blazer RS - old technology in a fancy package
Unless you add all option packages, the technology is not good. Even then, it lacks some of the new tech features other manufactures offer. No parking assist, no towing assist, poor auxillary lighting, poor camera coverage, no heads up display, radio and usb sub-standard, and other tech not available. Honda , Toyota, Nissan, and others offer more in same price range.

It’s Sexy!
I’ve had my 2019 Blazer RS for about 6 months. (Purchased with 20k miles) It’s one of the best vehicles “The Bank & I” have ever owned! I love the safety features, styling and comfort. It gets good gas mileage and has plenty on power. I don’t like the stop/start.

Terrible I hate this Blazer
I always loved the Blazers until I bought this one. I bought it brand new. After 3 years the gear shift got loose. It has to be replaced. Now it’s been 2 years and it needs replaced again. When I go to park it says to put it in park. With it being loose it won’t go into park you have to keep pushing it until it finally will go in to park and then it will keep doing that every time you park. It drives me CRAZY. I hate it I’ll never own another Blazer again.

Too hot in front seat
We just finished our first trip in our new blazer. While driving into the sun the front passenger got so hot on her legs that she had to put a large purse on her lap to keep her legs from burning I could not move my hands on the steering wheel as it was too hot to touch. Any ideas to cure this would be great. Other than driving at night

Completely disappointed
I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. Replaced Transmission- problems started at 24,000 miles and no help from GMC, several electrical issues, push start stopped working- Would state car not in gear, rear view mirror turning blue and showing warning issues, seal around back hatch leaked had to have replaced. Thermostat and AC issues. Tire size 265/45/21- odd for SUV and difficult to find. Very disappointed in this vehicle. Big price tag for all the trouble!!- Very Very Disappointed!
