Used 2005 Chevrolet Aveo Consumer Reviews
Best buy for the price.
I'm not going to lie and say this car is perfect, it's not. For the money that you will be paying you do get a well built, logically laid out veh that will perform resonably well. Don't expect to be passing Corvettes in this thing, or Chevettes for that matter, but if you opt for a manual transmission you can compensate by downshifting which does sacrifice some of the gas mileage but makes passing less of a joke. In the hatchback model you do have a surprising amount of storage when the rear seats are folded down, but with the seats in the upright position, don't plan on fitting anything more that a few grocery bags back there before it's full. A++ for first time buyers or for a cheap fix.
Our little pill car
We called this car our little pill. It was white, and shaped just like a gel tab of Tylenol. :) For using this car as a primary means of communication to and from work, I give this car a 10! For having enough room to fit 2 carseats, a stroller, and a passenger, that's it! Forget groceries or driving the mother-in-law somewhere.

A decent if not ordinary vehicle
After putting about 2000 mi on this model, I am generally very pleased with it. The high speed handling is competent, and it feels good behind the wheel. on a recent 600 mi trip on the interstate, I got 34 mpg. Around town I am getting 26-28. It has all the room I need, takes washboard and bumpy roads with grace, and has an overall decent feel. I come from a Toyota/Honda history, so I was very pleasantly surprised the Aveo was so nice. I don't like the fact I can't see the end of the hood or even behind. I'm a lousy parallel parker, and these factors don't help. I'm disappointed the rear has a blind spot. I would recommend this model to anybody interested in economy without investing a lot
Piece of junk
you name it it has gone out or broke while driving. I git this for my daughter hoping this would be a good car.,. All I can say is thank god she is alive and hasn't been killed by the crap of a car they chevy put out. There was a reason I don't but chevy's.
Amazingly Fun
I'm overly pleased with this car. Don't be fooled by the small exterior size. It's very roomy on the inside. Easy to handle, very fun to drive. The fuel economy is incredible. I've driven it around town for a month and the gas tank is still half full. Filling it up is usually $10-$15, even at today's high prices. The engine is powerful considering the lightness of the car, but even with heavy loads it has power. It feels like I'm driving a 4-Door sportscar. The only downside I can find is that there is no true air conditioning, but it does blow cold air.
