Used 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche Consumer Reviews
Best of both worlds
My Z71 is awesome. Great power overall, very good for off-road and easy to drive on long trips. The sunroof provides another experience seldom found on trucks. The only concern I have is gas mileage, so far 15.8 mpg -not bad as some people has told me, but heavy on my pocket everytime I filled the tank. The cover cargo and non-slip mat is a plus-plus. It feels safe to go to the store, and keep shopping without worries. Great truck overall.
Avalanche For President
I just recently purchased a Chevy Avalanche. I have wanted one since I laid eyes on one for the first time. I finally was able t obuy one, so of course I got the exact one that I wanted....a Dark Blue Metallic, loaded with everything but a DVD System. I get lots of looks with it, and everyone that gets in it loves it. I have shown people the Avalanche, and most have never actually been inside one, or don't know what it does, with the drop down "midgate" which turns it into a pickup. I am a SCUBA Diver, so the Avalanche is the perfect vehicle for me, with the secured box to keep all my dive gear locked up and secure. I love the way the interior is laid out also. I can't say enough about it!

The ultimate utility vehicle
This is a great truck. It will do anything you want it to. Take the kids to church or the movies, haul supplies from the Home Depot or Menards, take your toys to the lake or out in the wilderness, you name it. The ride is super smooth and handling is excellent. Go out and buy one and ENJOY!
mine
Drives more like a large car than a truck. It's versatility is the best part
My Chevrolet Avalanche
This vehicle is a joy to drive. Backing up, especially at night, is a little bit difficult due to restricted visibility. The rear window is vertically oriented, so lights from the instrument panel tend to glare off of it further reducing visibility. I have found that I must depend heavily on the side mirrors. I still would not give up this vehicle for the world, it is an absolute pleasure to own and drive.
Love it
I have loved these since they came out and finally got one.
AVALANCHE
I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MY AVALANCHE.IT RIDES LIKE A DREAM, I AVERAGE 14.5 MPG CITY AND 18 MPG HIWAY WINTER DOES SEEM TO CUT ME BACK TO 13.5/16.7 RESPECTIVELY BUT ALL ELSE IS GREAT
Avalanche
Gets great mileage for a truck (about 20 mpg highway, but 18 in Atlanta traffic). Lots of room. Put the midgate down, and with a sleeping bag, the three teenagers can sleep while dad drives on long trips.
New Avalanche
Very happpy with my new Avalanche. I don't offroad, so the 2WD Z66 was plenty for me and it is very smooth. I shopped all day for a Truck, Morning for a F-150, Night for the Chevy. I REALLY tried to give the F-150 a good look. It just didn't grab me. I think the Avalanche's back end is what the F-150 was TRYING to go for. I had an 2000 Escalade 2 cars ago and this rides better than the Escalade.
Love my Chevy
I never thought I'd like the smaller bed but not once has it ever been an issue. I love the locking rear tailgate and hard cover. I go camping in the truck and simply lay down the back seat and put my pillow behind the front seats and feet out in the bed. It's secure and comfortable. I recommend the Avalanche to anyone looking for something different without giving up their truck. Believe it or not the locking boxes on the side are pretty cool too. I go boating and I also trailer motorcycles to the trails and it's a good place to store my straps and hitch. The lock too so my stuff is safe. Plenty of room for the family and plenty of power to pull my 4,500 pound boat through the hills.
