Best of the best!!!!
This is my third Escalade, 2004, 2012 and now this 2017. Best vehicle period!!!! The styling, the handling, the quietness while driving, the sound system - what isn’t there to like about these SUV’s? Sure some may say the cost of gas - get over it, if you’re looking to buy one of these or any V8 then gas should be the last thing in your mind. I will never drive anything else ever in my life - if you’re thinking of getting one, get it. New or used even if you see one with 100k miles on it. Buy it, but do get an extended service contract if you buy one with that many miles just to be safe. I love my Escalade I promise you’ll love yours too!!!!
Bought the 2018 Escalade ESV
Great vehicle as far as options and comfort however after driving a few hundred miles I feel a shudder in the transmission and after doing research I see that this is a common issue and the only fix is to replace the entire transmission and torque converter.

Can't let go
You should know that you (probably) only live once. If so, live at the highest level that you can afford. Good luck if you want to buy a 2021 Escalade.

So far so good
This is my second Escalade. Traded in my last 08 Escalade with 240,000 plus miles on it. It still ran great when I traded it in for a 2017 Escalade. I’m pushing 150,000 miles and so far the only issue was the touchscreen stopped working and it was out of warranty. I ordered another one from an after market company for about $150 and changed it myself. Problem fixed.
Feel like CIA
Ride is a bit rougher than I expected. Hate the touch buttons cue infotainment system. Lag in response sometimes no response to input. Far rear seating good for kids only. Gas consumption Iol we’ll say it’s thirsty. After all that I still love it. Motor is strong it’s beautiful to look at. Comfortable enough for 4 adults and 2 kids. Leather and wood grain look and feel premium.
Worst 2017 Cadillac Escalade ever
I purchase this Cadillac Escalade used about 2 months ago in the short little test drive that you have with it you don't realize once you purchase it the transmission issues where it lunges when you stop when it's in park it wants to go the cue system screen stays Frozen up it's not cracked but it doesn't want to work so when I called Cadillacs main number and spoke to someone and spoke to the dealership in Spring it's not their problem because there is no recall so there is a civil action lawsuit the second one for the cue screen and I guess I will have to file a lemon law before this car actually hit someone. I also have a BMW X5 that I love no issues no problems had a Mercedes before that will never go back to a Cadillac again. I suggest no one purchase a Cadillac way too many issues and they don't want to fix them

Huge car but little internal storage space
A minivan can seat more and store more inside the vehicle than a Cadillac Escalade. The Escalade is a beast. I was given a so called "upgrade" from a rental agency recently. I've driven extended cab/bed pickup trucks and other large vehicles before, but I really didnt like the Escalade. Oh sure, that's lots of bells and whistles and gadgets, but that didn't impress me. I was travelling with my wife and 3 of our kids. When we opened the back to load our luggage I was dismayed to see less than a foot or cargo space. We had to put down a seat and stack the luggage to fit. I would have gladly taken a minivan or sedan over the Escalade.

Only kept it for a year- it was unsafe!!
If it could go wrong, it did. Sometimes it would start, and other times it wouldn’t. The brakes squealed so loudly, it was deafening. The side steps would get stuck out, and would make an awful mechanical noise the entire time you drove. One time the side steps tried to fold back in while my 9 year old was standing on it, and it almost crushed her leg!! The entire screen would go blank while driving. It would constantly tell me a “phone couldn’t be connected” even if I had a Bluetooth connection. The whole car shook if going over 70 on the highway. The infotainment system was SUCH a pain to use. It was antiquated, and having to swipe enforced every single thing made no sense…. Traded it in for a new Tahoe, and so far, it’s been such a blessing to get rid of it! I do feel bad for whoever purchases my old Escalade next, however. 🤦♀️
