Used 1993 Buick LeSabre Consumer Reviews
One of the BEST cars I've owned- out of 42!!!
This is a downgrade from a 92 Park Ave. ULTRA (supercharged) I owned but was taken by ex. But, its ride is almost identical (my LeSabre doesn't have air ride), and reliability is superb. I bought it with 122,000 mi, but it ran very rough due to extremely POOR maintenance and lack of regular oil changes. I then had to replace engine at 127,000 mi as a result of a camshaft counter-balance shaft bearing failure, due to the neglect of the woman who owned it before me. Now my used engine has 170,000+ on it, and is somewhat tired, but runs smooth and without issues. looking right now into water/alcohol vapor as well as hydrogen kits to improve economy, as well as real ram-air scoop to boost power.
Proud Owner
I bought this 92 LeSabre brand new. I still own the car today because it seems to be the vehicle we always depend on although many new ones have been purchased since then. The car has almost 300 thousand miles on it now and is still as dependable as the day we bought it. We keep the oil changed every 3000 mile and other than shocks, have replaced nothing on it. It is still original.

Bought it NEW in 1992
Far and above the most comfortable automobile I have ever driven or been a passenger in. Great little engine, will take the Smokey Mountain grade and curves without faltering. Great gas mileage. Low maintenance, of course, I keep "her" garaged 100 percent. I have tried some of the current models for comfort and power, and they fail the test.
Best car I've owned
I bought my LeSabre for $3800 in 2001 after doing internet research on lasting vehicles. I have not been disappointed! It is so comfy that the first time I drove it, the kids fell asleep during the first 15 minutes and I nearly did, too! It had 96k mi. on it then, and it now has 185k. I've only had the fuel pump and struts replaced, a couple of alignments, and a $100 electronic part replaced twice. When I was looking into getting a new car, I decided I wanted a 2002, or newer, LeSabre. But they seem to have some neg. feedback, so I keep driving mine. I guess I'll replace the headliner and keep driving it until it stops running-if ever. With 22-24 mi/gal on trips, and room for six, I'm spoiled!
Very Reliable
I bought this car with 30,000 miles on it in June 2003. With the V-6, the car has performed very well and is very comfortable for my 6 foot frame and my wife's 5 foot frame. We take it on long trips and it is very comfortable. I project that the engine will go nearly 200,000 miles but the transmission is starting to show some wear. I expect to have it rebuilt arount 100k miles. A few chips in the paint but that is expected. I will refurbish this car or buy another like it someday-after this one drops dead because it is so reliable. For the money, it cannot be beat.
