Horrible ride quality
This is our sixth BMW and possibly will be our last! All the BMW’s that we have ever had drove very well and handled very well. However, this brand new 2024 BMW X3 rides like crap it jiggles it bounces it shutters sorry but I hate this car. I wish I could turn it in and not look back, I reported it to customer service and I reported it to the dealership both seem like they don’t care don’t ask me why cause we’re very good customers. I myself think it’s very possible that they fine tuned the suspension for the new regular tires 19 inch that they put on the vehicle however, this vehicle came with run flats and I don’t think the suspension was tuned for them. They of course will not admit to it but like I said, I wouldn’t buy another BMW X3. Sorry I almost feel like I’m unsafe driving the car no joke that’s how much it bounces and jiggles especially in the warm weather when the tire pressure goes up just a pinch wow. Sadly I am seriously disappointed. November 24,2024 update my wife and I met with somebody in service. We have an appointment in January the person that we met with made us feel encouraged that they would fix the problem, no matter what. I will spare you all the details but promise to provide an update after the car is brought in for service in early January. It seems like I was right and that the run flats might be at fault, but that is still to be determined in January after they evaluate the car hands on for themselves. Review to be continued.
Nice luxury transport if a bit underwhelming
The X3 xDrive30i is a nice SUV for the money. It steers and handles better than any vehicle this size should be able to do! It also has a level of craftsmanship to the fit and finish of the interior that is class leading. Everything feels solid and tight and every surface you touch justifies the premium you paid. The 248 HP turbo 4-banger, however, lacks the low-end torque to make this feel like an ultimate driving machine. You really have to put your right foot into it and dig into the rev range to make this SUV move. Sport and Sport Plus modes help, as do the paddle shifters. But I really had to think about acceleration when merging into traffic or passing on the highway. I drive a 2022 X5 x40i and a 2017 Audi Q5 2.0 and this 2024 X3 was noticeably sluggish compared to both. Not the car for me, but if you're a less spirited driver and want impeccably built luxury transportation for the money, you should consider this X3.

Lovely ride and safety features.
My wife was rear ended and then sandwiched totaling her 2016 BMW X3 that only have 45,000 miles on it. She was distraught until the new “used” one arrived and she drive it. Much more comfortable seats than her old, many new electronic and safety features but with all the familiarity of the old car. She will keep this for a long time- as long as others pay attention to their driving and not on their electronics!
Fun car to drive but glitchy phone connection
I purchased the car used by the dealership as a loaner for clients who had their car in for repairs. It had 11K miles, and after driving it for 3K miles it needed new tires. My Google phone and now my new Samsung phone have problems connecting via Bluetooth. This is my 3rd X3 and love the way this small SUV drives, especially in the snow. The noise level is relatively low compared to other cars I've driven. The gas mileage is pretty good, but I dislike having to use premium gas. I appreciate the 3-year free maintenance program. I've had this car for 8 months, and I'm considering buying another car from a different manufacturer, as the phone issue is a real problem for me.
