I bought my BMW X2, 6 month ago from Newmarket dealership in Ontario (Canada). At the time of purchase 18000 km was on the car and it passed the safety. After 6 month of having this car, 25000 km is on the car now. It had the brakes problem so I took the car to the same dealership that I purchased the car. They mentioned the car has the RUST and brakes do not work well. So I called BMW CANADA and They said we do not cover the cost of that and it is not under warranty. I have another car Hyundai Elantra. I drove this car for 120,000 km and it has no problem until now. Just one time I replaced the brakes when it was 70,000 km. Now, Just one question. Why should I pay more money to the BMW car in compare to the economy car, when BMW gives me less comfort and more headache????!!!! I am really upset about BMW and I will sell this car as soon as possible and I will never even think about BMW.

My new X2

I wanted the M2 originally but the price tag was too steep for my wife so after test driving the X1, X2, and X3 we went with the X2. My wife has a Pilot so we already have a big car. I was turning in a leased 428i Gran Couple with all the options minus navigation. I absolutely loved the dynamic handling pack especially in sport mode when the steering wheel tightens up and the dampers kick in on the suspension. I got a ticket in San Antonio because I couldn’t resist rolling into the corners at 65mph on a 45mph road. My X2 has the xdrive, M Package and M package X. I was disappointed to find out that dynamic handling was an additional charge on M Package and didn’t realize until I saw standard suspension in my options but sport mode is still better then comfort mode. The car has eye catching looks and performs good on the road. Suspension is jarring at times in any mode; you feel the bumps assertively. I love the connected feature to turn on various items from your phone like flash headlights, ventilate car, honk horn, lock doors, etc. I recommend the car if it is within your pocket books range.

Engine and trans a big plus. Rear vision, stiff suspension, and height of the lift gate blew it for me.....

Beautiful interior. Brakes are too rigid. I’m a light breaker but no matter how you ease into stepping on breaks, you will get neck inertia. This is the worst BMW vehicle I have ever leased. Cargo area deep but not wide enough. A couple of blind spots. Takes time to check your surroundings. Beautiful body style, luxurious interior with interior color changing lights. The auto start/ stop feature has a hard start that it startles you snd your passengers. I used their loaner car ( Ferman) and it was much better than my car. I leased a lemon and has been for repair ( they called it computer adjustment) 3 times in 7 months. I have the crossover one year . I was told it’s supposed to drive like a Mini Cooper. Please don’t fool a woman !
