2010 BMW 535xi daily driver
I bought my 2010 535XI at three years old, and with 60000 miles. Wow, I loved this cars performance (especially compared with my 2003 Lexus es300. Car started running really rough after a 4-5 months, and found this fuel injector problem. The problem is, I found the wrong Mechanic first and for 900 bucks if you replaced the injectors which failed four days later. They said it couldn’t be bmw paid that stunk but c’est la vie. Found a really good master mechanic he quickly spotted the injectors problem and the buildup. He cleaned that off replace the injectors and also found a crack in my manifold. So all in between the two mechanics and the two issues it was 2900 bucks not a great start, but still really happy to be in the car. He is a great mechanic and honest love that. The great thing is since 2015 I really haven’t had a single major issue in this car. Love it. Performance is always great cornering etc and N54 is a great solid engine. Bought with 60k miles current 162k. Unfortunately, my transmission has been throwing up some miss-shifts in last 6 months. Only a few, but my mechanic suggested if I drive it aggressively it will start failing sooner rather than later so I baby a little bit especially until it’s warm. Even with 162K the engine sounds as good as it did and a smooth as it did when I bought it. Problem is I don’t drive it like a BMW anymore so it’s time to move on but it’s served me really well and I am hooked on Bimmers. I’m targeting a 2021 M550 as wow that kicks up the adrenaline a notch with 530 hp if I can afford one. Another 540 would be great, but I know the 550 is the one if I can swing it.

So glad I bought it!
Bought my first BMW, a 535ix about 2 months ago. Took a test drive and that was all I needed. Amazing to drive, the handling, road feel and acceleration are second to none. The interior is classic beauty without overkill. I found the i drive to be easy to use and makes getting to anything I need simple. I do not see what the fuss is with the cup holders, they offer no problems I can see and who cares the way this baby drives. I am in outside sales and the Park Distance control is great when you have to do a lot of back parking. The premium sound system is great and I must have at least 80 cds stored on the hard drive. This car exceeded my expectations. How often can you say that?
