2019 A5 Coupe Premium
I bought the car CPO in October of last year. I can’t say enough about how impressed I am with the overall performance. It’s peppy, quiet and very comfortable. After owning a BMW 440, a Infiniti Q50, and a Mercedes E350 I am sold on the Audi brand.

1100 miles and in the shop
Well…here I go again with Audi. I owned a 2009 A5 coupe with nonstop oil consumption problems, and now I have a brand new 2022 A5 with transmission problems. It started leaking transmission fluid at around 700 miles and at 1100 miles it had to be towed to the dealership as the transmission has failed. Now I am waiting for them to get parts in to start the process of trying to remedy this.

unexpected rocket
I've had my sport back for a week. bought it as certified pre owned- got a good deal as its the end of the year, etc. I'm not sure why I was in the dealer for 5+ hours! You'd think that "old school" approach to car buying could be fixed by now. The one I opted for happened to have the "S" trim line and the "black optic package". Which, basically added a few trim pieces and a 3D B&O radio. ( I could have done without as the radio on the non-B&O is very nice for me. however this was the CPO vehicle in my price range, so I went with it) I agree with another consumer review, the car is a sports car in disguise. The Good: very responsive, sport suspension and sport mode transmission (along with other drive modes). A 4 door "sedan" with the versatility of the hatch back (which can tend to look weird but AUDI's is done very well). Lots of technology to play with. Coming from a Mazda CX5, I have a steep learning curve. I even had to call the Audi customer service because I could not figure out how to get "connected". Even with manuals and YouTube videos, I was clearly doing something wrong. Turns out a lot of the connectivity options and tech gadgets require a WiFi subscription- that is pricey. I'll stick to Apple CarPlay, as soon as I figure that out. Had the opportunity to car a road trip, 2 days into owning the car. It was a very pleasant drive, lots of room in the back for my 6 year old. He said it looked like a rocket inside. The bad: again agree with the reviewer(s). very limited storage inside. I'll likely use one of the cup holders for storage of keys and iPhone. speaking of iphone- there is a wireless charger in the console. which is probably great for some, but I think its a waste of the already limited space. and you can't turn it off. If you put your phone there to "store" it- the charger will engage and make the phone very warm/hot to the touch. I was also surprised that I could not connect wirelessly to Apple Play. The phone needs to be pulled in. No other real complaints. The car does everything very well. I didn't give the car a 5 star because of storage and WiFi annoyances.
Fun car, happy with purchase.
Overall I give it 4 stars. I tend to have high expectations when it comes to cars, and its difficult to find a vehicle in today's market that checks all of the boxes. This car comes close, with some minor annoyances. Pros: Great look, gets lots of compliments with the blue exterior and black optic package. Comfortable ride, great handling/acceleration, lots of room in the back for cargo. Fit/finish. Dealer was great to work with. Cons: ZERO storage up front. I went from a large SUV to this and truly didn't realize the amount of junk I keep in my car. The one small area in the center to store things has the wireless charger, so you have to keep it clear to use this feature. The glove box won't close if you put anything larger than a pair of sunglasses in it. Summer tires come standard on any appealing wheel choice, so I'll have to get a pair of all-seasons for the winter. Why Audi offers standard AWD and doesn't offer all-seasons is beyond me. Back seat leg room is meant for small children, middle seat is useless. Some paint chipping on the hood lip with less than 1k miles. Overall happy with the car, but will probably regret the purchase once I'm a few months into the payment.

34 mpg on a 52 Horsepower engine!
Anyone who knows a bit about cars knows that the more power the engine can produce, the less fuel efficient it gets. Audi/VW has really done well with their latest EA888 gen 3.5 engine with 34 mpg and up to 40 mpg on a perfect summer day. Audi is always the most extreme weather capable vehicle that money can buy and it does it in luxurious comfort and style. No other car maker comes close to the ease of car control in snow and blizzard conditions. Subaru is probably the only other company that can do this, but I always prefer Audi (and this is my 3rd Audi). On the side note, never try to go cheap on tires especially if you live in bad weather environment. The Michelin crossclimate 2 is the real deal, it grips so well on many inches of snow like it is a dry road. You still need to be careful on braking and this is where your foot sensitivity is better than relying on ABS. The car has good practicality for the style. A lot of length in the rear booth allows me to transport bulky stuff easily. This car also comes with a real spare tire and not just a run-flats or repair kit with no spare tire. IMO, this is what all cars should come with but they don't these days. My car comes with cold climate package that has steering heating and rear seat heating. The steering heating is really comfortable and has minimal hot spot. The seats are still made of real leather unlike many other brands (BMW). Unofficial customization. If you get a Carista OBD dongle, you can customize the car's display as well as turn off the start/stop function. I never use the start/stop function so it is permanently turned off and I still get 34 mpg easily. You can also turn off/on the fake engine noise. If you do that, you'll realize the sound of engine is practically absent. Another testament to the amazing engineering of this car. My car is out of warranty so I have nothing to lose. The car currently has done 88000 miles. Now some CONs: There is no touch screen on the infotainment but it comes with real buttons. No touch screen means navigating on Carplay is very primitive. The ground clearance is very low - less than 10 mm in some areas and the long front overhang does not help. So my car has been scraped quite a few times and the plastic shield underneath has scratches and cracks... The car does not have real fog lights. This is a real pain when driving in the dark on bad weather. So I ended up installing some aftermarket lights which helps a lot.

A5 Sportback
I have had the car for over a month and love it. It rides great and with 4 driver modes you can select how you want the steering response is to be. The cooled seats are great (I live in Florida). This is actually a sports car in disguise. The reason I say this is getting in and out is a bit of chore till you figure out what is best for you. I use the steering wheel as a support to get in and our. The back seats are for kids or really small people. Otherwise they are not useable. All of the electronics are great, but some are hard to understand, especially the lane keeping system. My only point of reference is my second generation Ford Fusion. It had the same kind of lane warning: vibrating steering wheel. However, on the Ford it was on all the time and worked at all speeds. On the A5 you have to set it up and then actually turn it on but depressing button of the end of the cruise control stalk and it only works above 40 MPH. The very best feature of the car is the virtual dashboard and the HUD (heads up display). All the information I need is displayed on the drives window and can moved up or down till it is just at the correct eye level. It is worth every penny I paid. I prepaid the three year lease and intend to buy it at the end of the lease. The price stated below includes a 6.5% sales tax. I also had to select the coupe designation since there is no sport-back listed above.

Sexy styling and top performance
Keeping it short and simple. First became interested in this car because of the styling, including the LED headlamps, dynamic rear lamps and the overall look. My lease was up on my BMW 330i and was considering getting a new one. After test driving the Audi A5 Sportback Premium Plus, I was sold. All the conveniences at your fingertips. It feels like you're sitting in a cockpit, ready to take on and master any challenging obstacle course. But I digress. PROs: sport handling, clean lines, modern interior, power-folding mirrors, fingertip conveniences CONs: antiquated Apple CarPlay (non wireless), non-touchscreen display, no pleasing "Home Screen" - only a confusing display of options like Audi Connect, Sound, etc, connectivity issues, lack of front storage for daily items, cumbersome controls on the steering wheel APP CONs: does not allow location monitoring while car is in motion, lacks remote engine start, lacks pre climatization, cannot sound horn remotely or flash lights

A pleasure to drive
Basically, it rides like a 4 door sports car. The bucket seats make the interior feel like a cockpit. Smooth acceleration, hands easily. The media interface is easy to set up and use. I love this car.
Amazing Ride and handling
Quite impressed with overall experience. Overall experience is elevated with top notch quality of material, ambiance, Lighting and sound. Manual controls on A5 cabriolet could use some finetuning.

This car is business suit.
This car is outstanding. I leased a 2019 Florette Silver Metallic Audit A5 S-Line with the optic black package which includes the blacked out grille, mirror housings, flat-bottom steering while and piano black dash inlays (which I don't like very much but they're alright). The things I love the most are: 1. The looks of this car are amazing like I said, is a business suit. 2. The car drives and feel very nice. If you get the sport seats and flat bottom steering wheel like mine you're going to love the way this car feel when you are driving it. 3. This car is very practical with outstanding storage space and and a tail gate but with the looks of a coupe making it better than other basic sedans out there. 4. The audi MMI (multi media interface), virtual cockpit and controls feel nice, look nice and are easy to use, the Audi A5 is a nice place to be, you'll look for excuses to take out, to go to places in it, I even started going to the gym more often. The only thing I don't like about this car is: - Although practical with the tail gate and all it has VERY little interior storage in the front for basic items. The A5 doesn't even have a compartment for sun glasses so I have to put my sunglass case in the area under the arm rest, the problem with this is, thats where the wireless charger is taking up most of the space, other than that this car is basically perfect. 3 Years Update: 25k miles in it and 0 issues, just a lot of flat tires (these wide grippy summer tires love eating nails) Another thing that has been annoying the bejesus of out of me, is the Android Auto which tends to disconnect very often and just doesn't work well. The BT is good but doesn't connect to my phone right away (might be something in my phone settings) but I have friends with Toyotas that don't struggle as much as I do with with their android auto and BlueTooth setups. 3 years in, this car still gets looks in the street.

Best Car I've ever owned
This is my second Audi, previously had the A3 which although fun to drive, felt too small in general. I'm in love with my A5 after almost a year of ownership. The style nevers gets dull to look at. The interior quality is more than outstanding. But nothing beats how this car drives. Want it to cruise around like a luxury sedan and it will do just that. Set it up in Dynamic (sport) mode and it'll transform into a quick, solid rocket. It offers the best of everything in a car. Looks, power, build quality, comfort and efficiency. On a 12 hour road trip I averaged 5.5 L / 100KM and managed to get 880 KM of range. I love this car more than anything and if I don't keep it for a long time will definitely replace it with one just like it.

Beautiful A5!
I love this car. Actually this is my 3rd A5 coup. The best! District Green metallic. Beautiful car.
Great car and fun to drive.
My last car was an A4 so I already liked the Audi brand and driving the A5 was even more fun. Plus the attention to details inside the vehicle are great. Love the virtual dash. Wish that there was more storage in the vehicle and I liked how the older Audi’s had SD card slots for music, but still very happy with my purchase.

A joy to drive and easy on the eyes
I've now had my 2019 A5 Hatchback for over a year and really love taking it on road trips when I don't have to haul the entire family. For two people and the dog in the back seat, there's plenty of space for all our stuff to get up to Lake Tahoe for the week or weekend. My dog would prefer that the window in the back seat roll all the way down, but the best I can do is about half way due to the configuration of the door is my guess. I much prefer the windows up while cruising at highway speeds because the cabin is very quiet. The standard stereo system is good to very good mainly due to the insulated cabin. It take a while to get used to the transmission and media knob in the center console, but once you do, you can then focus on driving which is a joy. The car corners and accelerates so well, you can own the road with confidence. I've recently driven the car in the snow including un-plowed conditions on hills and at low speeds the AWD performed excellent - as well as my Subaru Crostrek. One draw back in the road clearance - you wouldn't want to be caught in a foot of new snow with such a low lying car. In cold weather I really enjoyed the heated seat and steering wheel. In hot weather I have enjoyed the cooled seats - but I will say they don't get as chill as I would like. Fuel economy has been as advertised - I'll get mid 30's on the HWY, upper 20's combined. The back seats are not great for full size adults unless it's a short trip. The looks? That's what attracted me to this car. For the cost of a loaded up Camry or Accord, I was able to get a 6mo. old certified pre-owned A5 Hatchback, premium plus for about the same price. It also included a 5th year factory warranty.
2021 Audi A5 Sportback Prestige S Line
I picked this car up from Carmax last week. It’s always been my dream car and they had the highest trim available and i decided to splurge and go over budget. It’s totally worth it. Gotta have the AC seats, heads up, nav and ambient lighting. This car is like a spaceship when driving at night. The navigation being in the instrument cluster and even on the windshield is the coolest thing i’ve ever seen. There’s so much tech I can only scratch the surface. There are a few cons, it’s hard to get in and out of and the cup holders are too close to the dash. they put a wireless phone charger in the center arm rest so storage is quite limited. But the hatchback makes up for it. It exceeds my expectations.
Overall Great Car, With A Few Caveats
Purchased a new '22 A5 Sportback Premium Plus in September 2022. After 6 months of ownership quite happy with most of it. What I like most: Styling, comfort, fuel economy, quietness, ride quality, handling. Engine, even though only 2.0 with 261 bhp, it's adequately quick and refined. What I don't like: Initial quality is not what I expected to get. Got a noisy moonroof operation and what seems like a one bad wheel hub. Still haven't taken it yet to dealer to address. Other than that, since the platform dates back to 2018 introduction, the interior is somewhat dated even though I still like it and feel it's high quality. Only niggling complaints, the infotainment screen is not integrated into dash like many newer generation vehicles, the lack of a power tilt/telescoping wheel, and GPS Nav being a option on a $55K MSRP vehicle. If I had to do it again probably would have gone looking at the BMW 330i/340i also.

Awesome 2023 A5 Audi Sportback
The styling and performance of this Premium Plus Audi are outstanding. This low sitting sedan is a sports car in disguise and gets lots of attention wherever I go. Beware the dreaded myAudi App
To use full functions of the electronics an owner must use the myAudi app. It has been 5 weeks since my A5 purchase and I am still unable to log on. After hours of research, emails, on-hold time, frustration and anger the reasons for this apps failure are well known to Audi Corporate. The dealer was not informed of these issues, Since part two of myAudi registration requires that you present yourself to the dealer for authorization, I recommend that, should you choose to buy an Audi, have your dealer set this up for you before you leave the franchise. The response from Audi to date: "hold on, we are working on it". Just plug your index and third finger into a wall outlet to experience the same touted "Audi Experience", and save yourself tens of thousands of dollars.
My Audi
I just purchased a barely used 2019 Audi A5 and love it. The color is Navarro metallic blue. It is beautiful! One of the best things is that the warranty is great. I have 4 years unlimited miles. I love the pick up of this little 4 cylinder, the looks, style, as well as the interior. So far, I haven’t found any negative points on this car.

SEXY
99% of the time, the A5 Coupe is the best looking car in most parking lots. The vehicle is solid and drives amazing! You can't go wrong with Audi’s all wheel drive system either. We've ran 93 & 87 octane without any noticeable change in performance or mileage. I'll take 33mpg hwy all day! We love it!

A5 Amen!
I looked at the 4 series gran coupe, the CLA and C class before I settled on the A5. It has an unmatched combination of sport sexiness, utility and technology. I’ve had mine for a year so far and I’m very happy with it still. One of the only downsides is interior storage. There simply is not enough and the cup holders don’t allow for very large beverage containers. Fortunately, I’m a minimalist person! Also, should have a a full panoramic moon roof, like glass across the entire roof.

Bad electronics
I liked the appearance of this car. It handled well. But the alarms went off all the time when driving, telling me to take control of the steering wheel. The dealer told me it was working normally. The car did not connect with my I phone all the time, just some of the time. There were other problems with the electronics and always the dealer was clueless. (Auto Nation)
